Robin’s Robins

Birds through my lens

My Favorites

,

Here's a couple of shots of my favorites. I love these little guys. They are so brave. They flit in, grab what they are after and flit away just as fast. They never seem to be in the same place for more than a moment. On the other hand they will fly up close to you and sometimes even land on a hand. They are quite curious and always come over to see what you are doing. They also, on average, only weigh 11 grams and can live up to 12 years. Amazing!
This first little guy has a bit of a malformed left foot, but that didn't slow it down at all.

is that a chickadee?

Robin 6. November 2009, 05:05

Yes, both are. They are different birds. I don't know whether you would see them in Texas.
