Waiting for the Train

,

In White Rock, B.C. the railway tracks run right along the edge of the beach. This is a fairly busy track. It carries the Amtrack train from Vancouver to Seattle twice a day, plus other sundry trains.
The Gulls find the track a comfortable resting place.
It always strikes me that they're waiting for the train!

That's funny. And they posed nicely, too.

What an interesting photo! I've seen the railway station at the Greyhound terminal, of course, but have never taken that train. Looks like it could be quite a pretty route! smile

I've never been either, but I'm itching to do so!

love the birds and especially this track photo. I imagine one has to be very careful when photographing this sort of thing.

Thanks. Yes, one has to be careful. It's amazing that a train can sneak up on you from behind, but you don't hear it until it's quite close.
I like the way the tracks disappear in the distance!
