Sorry that I haven't had time to update everybody on the exciting things that have been going on behind the scenes with Opera 10.60. Trust me it was worth the wait. I have got a really great inside scoop for you on Our new Browser which is about to become part of Internet history.
The first thing that I would like to point out to you is the fact that there has been hundreds of fixes (no I am not kidding hundreds!! We checked and are checking every nook and cranny for bugs) in this edition of Opera 10.60 (very soon to be released.) You can expect to find yourself installing the official fastest browser on earth. This time they did not sacrifice stability for speed. Opera 10.60 is both. You will be hard put to find a site that will crash opera. Most sites that you might have a problem with will probably be poorly written sites and not Opera"s fault.
The Second thing is ..... ta ta "Voice" will be back with this Edition and many more kool things that you haven't had yet. I am not going to talk about those in this post and kill the surprise.
The third thing that is too awesome for words! This Edition of Opera will Support HTML 5 Webm VP8 formats. I will let the sample screen captures of webm vp8 at work in Opera speak for them self....

I have been hard at work,these last few weeks, pushing OperaUnite to the limit to see what it can really do. After completely losing my mind, I decided to Upgrade my "dinky" Opera Unite web site to HTML 5, CSS3 styling and Java script to see if it would work. Being a "rank newbie" in the web design world, I knew just enough to be dangerous and not enough to know any better. Now if you wanted the Perfect candidate to find out if the average Opera User can built their Own Robust HTML 5 web site, I was your man.
Big things have been going on in Opera Development team/lab team lately that I thought you might want to be Briefed on . I am sure that you have hear rumors that Opera has undergone some major changes and improvements behind the scenes. I am here to say the rumors are true. Opera builds jumped from 10.54 to 10.60 in one giant leap. The Pace of Development has be dizzying to say the least. Two Shapshots were released in One day this last week. The Beta testers have split into two groups due to the release of the mysterious and top secret Webm version of Opera build 21868. Needless to say, Opera 10.60 Is for the moment , the fastest browser on earth... beating chrome by 38% in test on the famous Peacekeeper browser benchmark site.
Now for a little more info on the second big item , that is highly classified. The Webm lab build 21868 might be combined with the standard Edition Opera Public Release when it is deemed safe by The Norwegian Gods Odin and Thor...
Why all the hoopla about Webm,vp8 and HTML5 video tag Support you ask? and what is it? Simply put it means that you will be able to go to a html5 site and see the video without having to download a flash player plug-in. It will just play. If you noticed just last night Microsoft released a new Update for silverlight, which is there response to HTML5 CSS3 WEBM AMD vp8 formatting. for those in the now you can see a battle of the formats brewing. this battle will be similar to the Betamax vs VHS Format War of the 70's. one one side you have Microsoft silverlight trying to enslave both developers and browser user to silverlight and Internet explorer format forever.One the Other side you have Open standard HTML5 CSS3 Webm VP8 formatting doing about the same thing with no terms of use or license contracts to sign. This is a winner take all battle , With Opera leading the charge to Internet freedom.

Sorry that I took so long again posting a update on the progress report on how the Development Of Opera is doing. The Pace of work going on is dizzying to say the least. There have been three snapshots Released since last weekend. That is alot of testing , crashing ,bumping and banging for us beta tester. But we love it(I must Like Pain,Or I am crazy)
The Opera Development Team has been doing a great job of jumping right on bugs as we spot them and fixing them right away. In this next release you will find that most of your Pet peeves will have vanished. As I Have said Before In the Chat rooms"Praise the Internet Gods..Spell Check is once again working in the Chat rooms and text fields."
Now back to the speed Issue. With this build, opera had a marked improvement in speed of about 20% according to the prestigious Browser Benchmark Site, Peacekeeper.com . We were already listed as the fastest browser on the Internet pulling a 14,000 plus score. The Developers are still working on Opera turbo, which is still causing a few little problems at some sites. I found that it works best in the Auto mode. Left alone it does a fair job of picking up on slow sites and giving then a boost. Problems arise when you think that it would be really cool to boost a already fast site and you max your CPU out duh!! don't do that.
Some Users Have Thought that flash Players Not Opening when Turbo was on was a Bug! Not true!! That is how a page is suppose to load when Turbo is on. You will see a big blue play button you can push... if you really want to see the yucky flash advertisements. I kinda like it myself (look Ma No Ads)
For Now, The One Area that Turbo really Shines in in the Full On Mode is Newsgroups... (you know, the ones with the pictures in them. That your wife would kill you if she knew you were looking at them, newsgroups) you will be happy to know that turbo will boost you download speed for images anywhere from 3x to 10x times faster than before ,so you can get in and out without getting caught.
Other Improvements have been included in the speed dial screen rendering and settings. The call is still out on weather users will like the changes or not. It will now stretch to fit the thumbnail images to the screen( which I like because I use a wide screen HDTV for a monitor) and they have added a background image to give You a hint as to what you can do by customizing the speed dial screen (If you don't like the image you Can change it duh!!)
Other small improvements have been made to make the cut and paste process a little more automatic. You only need to double click after you highlight a item to get the action menu. Another very cool new feature that I have found is the "right click hold button, move mouse wheel"[/COLOR] combo that will activate a tab navigation pop-up menu. When you have found the tab you want by rotating your mouse wheel release the button to go to the tab . That is a real time saver right there. The Keyboard shortcut keys are now the preferred way for Power Opera User to move around the Browser. Learn your Shortcut Keys and you may never Have to touch a mouse ball again!!(Nasty little things ,those mouse balls)[/SIZE][/FONT]
Opera Unite has seen a few fixes making it now more reliable that ever. Kool Unite Web Sites are Popping up everywhere. Opera Users are discovering OperaUnite . You will see post in the Unite Forums with over 10,000 hits . Users are racing to find out what Opera Unite is about!! There Is too many things that Opera Unite can do. Internet Radio Station, Pod-casting,Live Event Broadcasting , Video Streaming ,Audio Streaming ,File Sharing, More Power to OperaTube lol. I have been so busy Beta Testing Opera 10.52 , which is now reached the Final RC (Release Candidate) stage,that I have not had time to update you here on the Developmental Progress Of Opera. The first thing that I can say about this build is I am really excited about this Release. This is going to be a major Opera upgrade. We have all been working hard to smash every bug and problem that we can find In Opera. The Development Team had done a superb job!
In Opera 10.52 had morphed from a monarch moth to a eagle. There has been so many changes and improvement that you will feel like you have a brand new Browser. Opera 10.52 is now rated as the Fastest Browser on the Internet by the distinguished browser testing service Peacekeeper.com. Big performance Improvements is just the beginning. Opera 10.52 is just full of nice new features and toys for you to play with, it will take you weeks to learn how to use all of them.(Hint, before you start complaining about all the changes to your "good old opera" hit the F1 tab and open keyboard shortcuts in a tab and leave it open to reference as you learn to use the new and improved Opera there has been alot added)If you can't figure out how to use some of the changes, be sure to go to #Opera irc chat and ask for help.
For all Of you Users that have been threating to Delete Opera 10.50 ,10.51 , ect from Time and Space, To Never Speak the Name of Opera in your Kingdom again.... Good news, The Developers have admitted (privately of course) that they might have been just a bit rushed trying to get a copy ready for uploading for the windows browser offering and COULD have overlooked a few little bugs here and there. Having been chastised by Opera Users World wide , they have gone out of there way to make sure that this Release is the best Edition of Opera ever.(So they can win the hearts and minds of the people again, and be loved and adored by all)
OperaUnite Applications Have improved connectivity and there are many new Applications being added to the list everyday ( due to a kool weekly developer Application contest offering a laptop as a grand prize.Have to bribe geeks to get them to work)I believe that we will see OperaUnite "Come of Age" and it is well on the way to becoming a truly powerful webserver system for the home and office.(for those of us that are technologically challenged OperaUnite is a kind of a personal youtube build into the Opera browser. You can share music,files,vids,play games,and much,much more! )
Most of the bugs of Past Versions of Opera are gone. You Google Map lover will be happy to know that your beloved street view is back and in perfect operating order. YouTube fans will really love the improvements in rendering. Now you have real Hi-Def res (you might want it install the UJS Manager in Opera unite so you can install User Jave Scripts to add features to youtube at the click of a mouse ,kool hu )For you Avant bookmarker/web surfers, the bookmark system has been entirely redone. For you students that use Opera for researching projects... you will love the new Inline find toolbar (push ctrl+g to make it pop up). Tabbing ,draging tabs from place to place have all been fixed. They even fixed things that did not need to be fixed hehe
People... The Opera Development Team ,all the Beta testers and volunteer developers have worked very hard to makeup that last Public Release that will remain forever unnamed. (10.51 build 3315 shame) I believe that they have succeeded with this upcoming Release. Once you have Opera 10.52 I believe that you will agree, they have redeemed themselves in the eyes of the people.. On that note I can hint that they have done such a good job that unmentioned third party Developers (Roboform) have taken notice of Opera and started testing software for Opera.

Testing Opera Is really alot of hard work, but I am willing to do it to see to it that Opera users Have the best browser on the Internet. Right now I would say that Opera Shapshot version 10.52 build 3347 is still about a month away from being ready for a public release date. At this Point of Developement it could be summer before another Update of Opera.
I say this because the current build is plagued with many small technical Problems. I am not saying that the news is all bad, there are many great new features going into this verion that I think that you the opera users will love. First there is a problem with very heavy CPU usage with scrolling and loading graphic intense web pages. The second Item on the list, this version still has dsn and cookie problems that may cause logging issues with some users, but the Developers are quickly resolving this as they are reported .In some areas things are missing or disabled due to typo errors in the source code,but they too are getting fixed as soon as they are reported.
On the OperaUnte Front... good news!. Almost All Of the Unite Applications are working, with the exception of the web cam app and the Fridge. Fridge has become a Opera to Opera App only . Even Shout box is working. For the Most part the Unite system is good to go you can now use your computer to set up your own web site with out needing to get web server space (cost money)
On the Browser Speed Front. Opera 10.50 was clocked by the Peacekeeper Browser testing service, as the fastest browser one the Internet. However during the bug smashing phase of development, Opera 1052.is sliding up and down on that scale as Developers try to find a happy balance between speed and stability.They have stabilized the graphics engins to the point that all players are easily viewable
From what I have seen so far, you are going to get a stunning Browser when the job is done. The graphics are HI DEF and the general Text and Graphics are sharp as a tack. The New Opera is made to blend in seamlessly with Visa and windows 7 features as well as working well for a whole list of other OS systems . I can tell you now that Opera looks great on a 42" HDTV Screen or milti monitors.They have added so many shortcuts that you can practically navigate Opera without touching your mouse. They have added so many new features , it will take you a week to learn how everything works. That is one of the main reasons that I am such a big Opera fan . After all, they are the only browser that I know of that has 7/24 irc teck support in the chat rooms..hehe

Thought that I would test this widget from hulu.com , and see how it works here.I was a beta tester for Hulu when they were setting up there site. I gave them the cool little idea about a video history bookmark. They use it on their site. That way, if you can't watch a whole movie you can come back later.
Today was a interesting day. I spent the first part of the testing Opera Unite before I made up my mind on which version of Opera I needed to install. After two weeks of beta test ing Opera 10.51 RC1 and Opera 10.10, I decided on 10.10 even though their may not be as many bells and whistles, 10.10 has everything that I have grown to love in Opera Browser, working correctly.I put in Opera and got Voice working which was when my clients dropped there jaws to the floor.then got them to start a Opera community account for the Church here . Now they are off and running with there own ChurchTube in 30 minutes flat. You can't beat that with a stick for time it took to set up a web server. I Think that OperaUnite will put then far head of the tech curve in my area.
If you are looking for computer work in a global recession , you might want to take a look at OperaUnite as a way to save your ass.

As you can just barely see I have a web cam , a cheap one $13 US dollars, but it works for now till I get up the money to get a better one.I blew $70 on a new logitech Wireless keyboard & mouse combo.It is sweet has all the bells and whistles that I want volume cotrol,media control auto scroll,zoom in and out custom keys and so much more. I love it, the old man is livin large again.

Some creep took over Ourmedia and is doing it now for glory and money. I lost my pass for ourmedia when I was sick and they won't sent me a new one to my new e mail address.I have ask but there is no response to my request for a new pass to be sent to my e-mail address.I'll get something worked out.
Well, After beating down 26 virus's and one worm. I now have a nice but older computer on the Internet. I also have a clean copy of Opera 10.10 on-line and screaming. I tried the Internet exploder 8 only to have it eaten alive by the virus and have it go into the crash on command mode. So I gave up and came home to my warm fuzzy Opera.I have not had a problem since then. However I do keep exploder 8 on for windows update needs.
I love the way that Microslush writes there system software to force you to buy next years latest and fastest computer model... They must have gotten there business model from the economically stressed auto industry..
Now that I am up and running I hope that I can keep up with my blog more closely I plan to keep more updated on the events of my life here, I really do love Opera and all the people of the Opera Community that I have come to know over the Years.
The weirdest thing happened the other day to me.I just woke up and every thing began to make since to me. All the parts of the puzzle that I call my life began to fall into place. My life now has meaning. I know part of why I am here.
Happiness has nothing to do with wealth. For instance,The money that exist for a doggie is love. As long as a dog can give and receive love, he has a full and happy life. The same is true for humans.... and love is one of the things that can bridge the gap between life and the after life.
well Friends I almost died last year from throat cancer smoking cigs I lost every thing but my life. It seems that God isn't done with me yet. I lost my car, my doggie was murdered and all that I owned was trashed in the yard. Every one thought that I was going to die. Then a church prayed for me and the cancer vanished. I am now on a path to recovery. and things are looking better I am learning to write web pages. hope to have more for you soon
I got my dog back for those who were wondering.It has been a long time since I have posted to the site. A whole lot has happened since I was last online.. I think it has been about a year or more. Sorry it took so long to get back with everybody. My life has been full of ups and downs.
I lost the security guard job that I had. And had to move out of where I lived. But the person I moved in with them, found me a new job working for janitorial service in housekeeping and a major distribution center to pay in hours were much better . As a result, I moved back to where I was living, had the power cut on the telephone. And for the first time in many years, began living like a normal person.
and I made a mistake and picked up the new crazy roommate, who got us thrown out again. And we moved back in with a woman I've been living with before. Then she got tired of us. And we moved to the trailer down the street from where I used to live. Along the way, I picked up another dog. Or I should say, my roommate did. He was the one that is in the album that ran a way This week.
Since I had to move so many times this year, I neglected to pay my car insurance. And my tags were seized. I just got them back this week. I lost them for 30 days and had to ride a bicycle to work. I have to go to court over driving with a expired tagand I hope they will drop charges. After I get everything straightened out. I can't take much more.
Well, maybe I'll post here more often. If my life calms down it's quiet my roommate is moved out. We are experiencing a heat wave here with the temperatures getting over a hundred during the day. This causes my modem to blow out every once in awhile. So I'm trying to keep my Internet traffic down during the day.
well gang I'm back again, I guess. It looks like a lot of things have changed at Opera since last time I was here. I've been really busy working very hard. Sometimes, I would be getting 40 hours of overtime a week. that's not bad, because I made enough money to buy a new pair of glasses. I can see the monitor clearly now.
I'm a little sad this week because I found out that I may not be able to keep my job as a guard. Seems there was something from 20 years back that I forgot to put on my application. He may keep me from getting my license, but it was so far back in my past that I honestly forgot it.
I hope to visit more often and as a little more to marvel at.
Well, we are back from moderating over at Ourmedia for a while the last few weeks have been crazy.my group is the biggest there I have over 2000 members and I am getting known by every one. I really miss you guys here at Opera. and I hope that I can drop by more often.I really miss the live chat and all my friend there. K9 has made me a co-op in his new room Bizarre. So far it has been alot of fun. the room has a killer web page that K9 is working on. the room is alot more relaxed that the lounge. There are no rules on lang and you can use colored and formatted text.It has the feel of the out back in au,or the Amercian Old west.Many of the Opera irc regulars have droped by to check us out.I hope that you will come and join the fun as well.The Only rule we have so far is don't flood to much. and don't be to abusive to each other.A little picking is ok if it is done in fun.
Hello everyone,
Good news my little gangster is out of the doggie jail.I managed to scrape up the bail money and get him out tuesday.He got a chest cold from the other dogs while he was in jail and he is sleeping in my bed as I write this post. It is a great relief to have him home again.Guess that I will spent the next few days nursing him back to health.
