Education they say is the bedrock of the society. It is also right to say that the development of a country is determined by the number of the educated citizens. It goes forth to say that if a greater number of a country's citizen do not hav access to education, that country cannot develop. This is the reason why every government of a country must make sure its citizens hav access 2 qualitative education, which is the engine of development. As for nigeria and education, reverse is d case. It is a country where d government do not show concern for educational development. How can d country develop when d ratio of those dat are educated 2 those dat are uneducated is 1:3. It is a country in which d educational sector is not adequately funded. The sector is lacking infrastructure and manpower from d primary- tertiary level leading 2 d decline of education in nigeria. UNESCO recommend that government should allocate 26% of d budgetry allocation to education and research which will go along way in bring about a country's development. But instead, the nigerian government allocate only 12.6% which has led 2 d collapse of the sector, graduating half-baked graduate 4rm the tertiary institution, and massive brain drain. A great number of d masses are below d poverty line as a result of not being educated. Private educational institution saw an opportunity in d decline in d public ones and charge high fees which many cannot afford. The solution suggested is that the govt most show more committment 2wards improving the educational sys. Piority should b given 1st 2 education, and there should b more funding of d system. D govt should also provide free and compulsory education at all level. More infrastructure and ammenties should b provided in d educational sector. This would bring about positive development and would reduce illiteracy 2 d barest level. By proper funding, it would b setting a benchmark 4 those of us who are aspiring 2 become teachers, lecturers, researches. I look 4ward 2 see nigeria, where all will b literate.

Every Nigerian youth has a role 2 play in the development and in the body politic of d nation. The nation at 49 is bedeviled by so many negative factors. This factors formidable are- low political culture, high illiteracy rate, planlessness, lack of patriotism and discipline among nigerians, mismanagement, corruption, economic and financial crimes, bribery, tribal and religious intolerance and so many other negative factors that has given d nation a bad image in d international arena. But all hope is not yet lost, as nigeria still has a bright future. Its up 2 me and u 2 strive 2wards re-sanitizing d nation and bring about d much expected positive development. Nigeria is a nation blessed wit both human and natural resources. With these, we hav wat it takes 2 b among d best in world. All nigeria youth are enjoined 2 b patriotic and shun all forms of political, economic, and social vices. Let us go 2 d drawing board, and fashion out workable theories needed in moving dis country nigeria forward. There should exist among Nigerian youths, tribal and religious tolerance. It would go a long way in creating an atmosphe where all would co-exist in peace and tranquility. We are one family, we are one Nigeria. Long live Nigeria.

One thing i hav come 2 realize in life is dat my life is not just only about myself, but also about those around me. Thats why d bible pellucidly make it clear dat we should rejoice with those that rejoices, and mourn with those who mourn. Moreso, it says "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down is life for his friend". The society is consist of people from diverse background- the high and mighty, the weak, the poor, the rich, the young, the old, the beautiful etc. So we must always know about their feelings and concern and associate with them with less regard 2 their status. If we are being blessed by God, we should help those in need. We should giv advice to those who are troubled. We have 2 b patriotic, so dat we can contribute our own quota 2 nation's building 2 make all happy. You may find urselfs in leadership positions, use it as a medium of liberating others from oppression. A good leader is he who listens, a better leader is he who leads a life worthy of emulation, but a best leader is he who is ready 2 give up his life 4 others. We should always cultivate d habit of caring 4 others. By dis, we will be doing d will of God. Because God cares, we are alive 2day. Learn 2 start caring 4 others around u.
