Worldcraft 1.6

, ,

The full version of Worldcraft 1.6. It's been getting rare, and 1.6b was nowhere to be found.
It has some little glitches (like [Alt]+[E] not pulling down the "Edit" menu), and it comes with a rather obnoxious "Normandy D-Day" preset, but it's still that old Worldcraft 1.6.

Anonymous writes: Wow, nice find, if I do say so myself. Might try and get back into Quake mapping sooner than later. Might use Quake as a planning game for Unreal Tournament 3 maps down the road. They both use additive engines now, previous UT engines were only subtractive, so the transition in geometry will be a whole lot easier now. WorldCraft should almost be as easy to use as Unreal Editor, if I'm not mistaken.

val writes: i've had this WC1.6 for years but it recently got infected by a virus. i might have made backups on some CDs but didnt feel like searching them all. happily i found this site! BIG THX for posting this! btw, worldcraft (despite its tendencies to crush) is even easier to use than UnrealEd. i wish all 3d apps were designed with such simplicity, efficiency and work ergonomy in mind! PS. you can delete the D-Day preset so it doesnt get in your way anymore
