Without convinent access to internet I shall make a summary of this past 30 days
---Helping with shopping in cloth market and tailor measurements
I must admit i am lucky enough to keep in touch with guys from my previous company who are indeed kind people, and through them i got to know Caroline, and experienced how expratriates doing measurements and making cloths by tailors in China.
We went to the cloth market full of colorful and various materials, even the collar of a shirt has so many designs.
I was facinated by that, and was aware that most of the customers here are no Chinese:
Maybe employing a tailor is expensive in other contries
Maybe employing a tailor and making cloth to one's own measuresment is an indicator of quality life;
Anyhow this long way-back cloth and fashion making industry is not dying out: and that is so fabulace to have a dress of ones own style.
---Visting Grandparents and enjoy freetime with them
This old couple are nice to me when i was a little girl
Esp, the old man
I always found that old people are so excited when they pick up calls from me and hear my voice
For me,
Little effects has bestowed upon me from the past days of unhappniess or misunderstanding for the two generations ,
So i enjoy their indulgement for me as i should
In return,i have brought them two pair of socks--made of wool, to keep of coldness in this damp and wet city, esp, for old people (We chinese believe if ur feet is warm, then the warmth gurantee the warmth of ur body)
I could see how moved the old lady was and indeed,
when people are old, they turn to become soft, not merely physically.
---Study with passion and Reflect on what makes of a graduate student
Of my days here in this East China Normal University, as a guy without a job, not as a student, but is studying harder than a on-campus one,
an outsider of both the campus and the society, yet is observing what is going on from the inside of my own mind:
I was actually attending lecutres of this International Chinese Studies Instute, geared to postgraduates,
and one of their tutor, before the lecture starts, spoke loudy that "i shall remind u guys, as a graduate, u shall go to class on time, neither eat nor pick up ur cell during class hour..."
on Hearing this,
i was a little bit disappointed as those requirements should not be for Postgraduates who has took such difficulty exams to get this chance to study and who has had four years of breeding in their college!
What then comes to me is a mind of gratitute, a thanks to my four years in XJTU,
at least i learn how to behave properly and know i am studying for myself.
Yet admittedly, i was at a lost when stepping out of campus, that is a fear of the unknown,
Unlike the above mentioned unproper behavior.
So anyhow, i really think that i shall be determined and confident enough to go on with this myself project, to make myself absorbed with the advantages of this university, to make the most out of the least advantage, to explore the sparkling points of this enviorment....
---Raing days for weeks
Life here is not easy
But think of it! I shall have a memory of hard days in my life, days of studies over 10 hours perday , dining and sleeping so regularly,
yet the rain is harsh on me, but i shall keep on definitely for sure!
