Sunday Movie Experience

SMEx

Blade Runner

Does this movie even need a review? Everyone knows it's a classic.

SMEx managed to reach the pinnacle of 10 attendees again. We just can't seem to break the magic 10. But the overall atmosphere at SMEx was great. Ten people, it was apparently the first time this "Final Cut" version of Blade Runner was shown in Norway, and they had some DVD give aways, which unfortunately, no SMEx members managed to win.

I will say that going to Cinemateket is an experience in itself. So many many movie buffs, and not even a peep out of the audience. Sometimes, it's just all to serious. But this was the right movie for it wink

Rutger Hauer would love the area Cinemateket is in, two hookers tried some scam at the local 7-11, getting pissed off when the 7-11 girl didn't buy it and made a big scene... We just wanted to buy a bus card to get outa there

That area of Oslo was quite fitting for the movie - old, wet, dark, and nicely foggy. And crowded with shady characters. Ok - mostly hookers, but still shady.

Very good movie, and I made it from the airport with 5 minutes to spare. (Thanks, SAS)

Question is: What on earth was changed, compared to "Director's Cut"? Not complaining, mind you, directors cut was brilliant, I just fail to see why it needed a new label.

Oh and I prefer serious movie audience over the pre-teen rascals that had infested the Rogue Assassin show.

how come i didn't notice the hookers? Movie was ok. I actually hadn't seen it before, and I don't think I'll see it again:)
