The Bank Job

After a long time away from the smex gang I'm finally back, and started with some beers and rum and cola. Good to see that new members have joined the Sunday Movie Experience.

For the movie I must say that the guys enjoyed the beginning of the movie with some nudity that is always need it for a movie to be good. The movie has such a good start that even the Hoff would be glad to sign some chicks to make a similar movie.

The plot of the Bank Job is that some low rank criminals get the opportunity to break into a bank’s vault to steal all its contents. The only thing that the bank robbers don’t know is that they will also be stealing other things that will bring them problems with corrupt police and politicians that would do anything to cover their dirty secrets after the job was done.

To conclude, a good movie from the beginning to the end. The turning point in the movie gives some good comedy and great actionin the end. Jason Statham plays a good role in this movie.

Looking forward for the next smex.

The Hoff says: Omar is right, there was definite Baywatch talent there at the start

I have to agree with the reviewer again this week. This was a nice movie. A little slow at the start but a very nice ending. I loved the use of a brick smile

I did a catch up private viewing of the movie since I missed the SMEx, and yes, its quite entertaining. And its based on a true story (with the intention to "reveal" the thruth for the first time wink
Totally worth watching.

This was the second time I saw this movie, and it was still as good as the first time - I didn't regret seeing it again. Jason Statham for once is not just an action hero, this is actually a pretty smart movie. Fully agree with Omar, it rocked!

She's a scallywag, they said, haha.

That movie goes great on a number of lists - "based on real story", "institution roberry", "develops in london", "has Jason Statham in it". It's really good, packs a good mix of violence and humor, without shifting away from the story, makes fun of the government and the spooks. I mean - it has it all, doesn't it!

A late comment. Saw the movie (in 1080p no less) a few days ago and it was really enjoyable. Made me think of Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels again.

Now I have to catch up with Hancock.
