My Stupid job

I know its been a long time since I posted any updates, so here's one.
I know times are hard and people should be very appreciative for the jobs they have, but does that give employers the right to take advantage of their workers. In the field I work in their is plenty of work for those who want it. But management feels we should feel fortunate to work for them, even though they offer nothing but a paycheck, and that's not even that good. I know something is better than nothing. But sometimes a little appreciation does help. Right now morale is low everywhere, but that does not mean abuse must continue in the workplace, because of the economic situation.

While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant and resumed their trip. When leaving, the elderly woman unknowingly left her glasses on the table. And, she didn't miss them until after they had been driving about twenty minutes. By then, to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance before they could find a place to turn around in order to return to the restaurant to retrieve her glasses. All the way back, the elderly husband became the classic grouchy old man. He fussed and complained and scolded his wife relentlessly during the entire return drive. The more he chided her, the more agitated he became. He just wouldn't let up one minute. To her relief, they finally arrived at the restaurant and as the woman got out of the car and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses, the old geezer yelled to her, "While you're in there, you might as well get my hat."

What a way to end the day.

Happy bday to me, normally I take the day off. But not this time unfortunatly. Besides I will try to have a easy decent day, but not here at the crazy farm. Met a customer who couldn't get service for some time. Now its urgent that his service goes on. I just had to do the shuffle and try to get his stuff up, but of course that now means that I will probably have to work late, so he can watch TV, considering I work late almost every other day. Real fair I think, but hey its anouther day at the farm. Oh yeah I still hate it here. But you know what I actually enjoy the industry, but I detest the incompetence of the higher ups. To me common sense should be the deciding factors not profit. But hey what do I know I'm just a small cog in a big machine. If I can't work I can be replaced like any other part.
