Rewired 2008: Ranked 2nd and back home

I ranked second in the graphics competition at Rewired party 2008. I got told that it was extremely close (I haven't seen the points yet), so I'm pretty happy about the result. As "award" I got this yummy belgian waffle, that I'll eat while creating my next compo image. Sadly the cell of my camera gave up, right before the award ceremony, so I have no photos from that, but Red and Psykon took 3 out of 4 awards (best demo, best music, best graphics) and got a whole crate of the world exclusive party beer! Gratz!

So, you're interested in my entry? Here we go!
I call this image "Dawn in Space":
Some explanations for non-sceners: This is an image made for a Commodore 64, the worlds most sold computer of all times. Lately it had its 25th birthday, so you now should get the idea how old that machine is. There are some restrictions to colors and their usage: You have 16 colors, that you can't change, and you can only use up to 3 colors plus background color in a fixed pattern of 4x8 pixels. Usually the image size is 320x200, but for this blog I made it double size, so you can see everything more easily.

My next two pictures are already planned and I might even get the possibility to draw some pictures for a C64 invitation demo (a so called invitro) for tUM-party 2008.
