Old car, new old car... again

, ,

My last new old car never caused alot of trouble, but after 1.5 years the engine broke down. Right on the motorway while driving around 160km/h all of a sudden the engine lost loads of power and started to rattle. I gladly made my way to the next resting area, where the engine finally turned off and didn't start again. So I called the ADAC (a german motoring organisation) and after 45minutes of waiting I had to face the fact, that my beloved Subaru would never drive again. cry

So my dad and I took 2 days of running around, looking for cars, negotiating about prices (looking for new cars, old cars, new used ones...) and finally ended up with this great car: a Ford Focus TDCI, 4 years old, 65.000km driven for 8.100 Euros. The car is really nice, including an air conditioning system, lots of space and very comfortable seats. Everything looks still very new and shiny... and I'll try to keep it that way. cool

So again a real family car... angel

Oh, no, not one more black Ford Focus Turnier... if I could choose I would get that car: http://files.myopera.com/Pineas2/albums/728159/thumbs/12-08-09_1718.jpg_thumb.jpg -

It is not black... it's dark blue. wink
And you can't select a color when buying a used car.

If I could chose I'd love to drive a Lotus Exige (but I'm too large for that car), a Mazda RX-8 or a Porsche 356 Speedster. But none of these would be reasonable.

Yes, and that's why my wife rides a black Ford Focus Turnier. Shortly I had a blue Honda Civic, but it was to expensive to have two cars.

This car takes around 5.7 liters per 100km. That's a very moderate value I think. My Subaru Legacy needed at least 8.8 litres, my VW Golf took 5.9 litres.
