Real life tooltips

I found this photo on my mobile phone. It was made in my last company and shows a first prototype of a so called "real life tooltip". In my humble opinion a very helpful feature in our modern world. Look at something or someone for just a few seconds and the tooltip appears, providing the most important information about your target.

Imagine how easy it would get to find out the phone number of the nice girl/boy standing next to you...

Your phone's ringing all day and you simply can't do your work? Then get yourself a "Do not disturb"-badge and put it in front of your telephone cable.

I don't know for sure if it works, but so far I had no more phone calls this morning...

sidebar, password, security

I was so fed up with memorizing passwords that I started to use only 1 master-password every time. But since we all know that this is totally insecure I wrote a small tool to generate secure passwords based on a website URL and a master password, I call "Any-Key".

It is open source, written in PHP and optimized for usage in the Opera sidebar or on mobile phone browsers. Some days ago I released version 0.3 and I'm pretty happy with it so far.

I hope other people beside my family and closest friends like it too. Feedback would be appreciated.

A nice shot I made this morning when I arrived at work. The colors look odd on that shot, but I didn't reedit the photo.

Besides, the MMS service of my provider sucks badly. I send more spam, than content and have to reedit every MMS I send to this blog.

I use Opera for about 7 years now, but the sync option for my home and work PC plus my mobile phone keeps me wondering...
