Bioware, Dragon Age, Cologne, Gamescom
Yesterday I visited the Gamescom 2009 in Cologne, to see the latest video games, play some minutes with some of the best upcoming titles and to get my hands on some games that I might want to buy. But the most important reason for me was the DragonAge-Toolset, which I want to use for a mod I want to create right after Dragon Age - Origins is released.

I was on the rock concert of Pink in Cologne this monday. You maybe remember that
my parents gave me a ticket on Xmas, so I took my best shirt, a pair of trousers and a good jacket and made my way to the LanxessArena in the heart of Cologne.

Cologne
Alright... long time no sea... uh... see! So what took me so long the last weeks? What happened. Well, well let's have a look: The company I'm working at ran into some financial trouble, so we had to stop working for a while, but it's rapidly getting better now. Aye! My boss is back into action and right now we're getting quite a good amount of new work. It's so much work, that I hardly find any time for some research and development, but I've organized my stuff pretty well, so tomorrow I should be able to find some hours to improve our software here and there.

evoke2008, demoscene, Cologne
At the moment I'm trying to prepare for the upcoming
evoke2008 in Cologne (just 20minutes away from home) from 8th to 10th of August, but I'm a bit doubtfully about it. I asked for C64 support and got told, that I should provide my image as PNG, not as Koala-file or D64-disc-image.
For one of the three largest demoscene parties in the world this answer seems pretty poor. The demo compos do not even provide an oldschool compo, you have to compete in the wild competitions and you even have to bring your own hardware for it.
At least I'll meet D.Fox again, who will reveal our future on evoke... some specials planned for
the Ultimate Meeting 2008.
So right now I'm still thinking about a cool idea for an new image on evoke2008... only 3 weeks left to go, so time's running up.
Suggestions welcome!

Cologne, Stuttgart
Last wednesday I was in Stuttgart for a business meeting. Together with a collegue, we took the express train from Cologne to Stuttgart via Frankfurt/Main. We agreed on starting a bit too early (about an hour) so we wouldn't run into much trouble if we arrived a bit late. But the worst happened: Someone committed suicide on the express lane, so the track got changed and the delay rose up to 120 minutes!
But our planning gave us just enough extra time to arrive 2 minutes before the meeting started. We even were able to buy us two pastries with cheese (called "Käse-Laugenstange"), something that uses the same bread mix as the well knows pretzel. Almost perfect!
The meeting itself went pretty well and after around 2 hours we left for the train station again, passing by a newspaper stand where we bought 2 cans of beer to celebrate our small victory. We went on and had a seat in front of the railway station, eating our pastries and drinking our beer.
My collegue went on to Munich, so I drove back alone from Stuttgart to Cologne. A bit boring, but I used the time well learning some more norwegian!
