About me

I've been a long-time video game player thanks to Pac-Man and Asteroids and Missile Command. My first home console was the Atari 2600 back in the late 70s. I then progressed to the Atari 800 (48K RAM!!!!), SNES (bypassed NES for some reason), N64, Gamecube and currently Wii!.

I took some time off from console games around time of SNES and focused on PC gaming, but got back into consoles them when I saw Super Mario 64 on the N64. My girlfriend at the time who had no interest in games became addicted because of Mario 64 and so we bought one (actually, she bought it!). I have a lot of good memories of multiplayer Goldeneye 007 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64. Oh and tons of hours on Super Smash Bros on the Gamecube.

When not playing N64, I was playing a lot of RPG's on the PC such as Baldur's Gate and RTS games such as Warcraft II and Command and Conquer. I also was very much into Diablo and Diablo II.

My first PC was a Intel 8088 running DOS and 1 MB of RAM (extended memory above 640K) seemed like a lot! I then upgraded to a 80286 (around 12 MHz). The first system I built was a 80486DX4-100 (believe that was mid-90s). Wow, there was a time when 4-16MB of RAM seemed like a lot!

In my spare time away from games I enjoy (in no particular order), Movies (big James Bond fan), NASCAR, Hiking, Skiing, White Water Rafting, Camping, Battlestar Galactica (the new one), and Web design.
