SearchEdit - search.ini Editor for Opera

With the snapshot build (windows 3413, linux 6355) Opera introduces "search suggestions" a long time wish on many wish-lists

We've also added the ability to show suggestions in the search field. You can try it with Wikipedia and Yandex for now.

If search suggestions does not work for you, you are probably not using the standard searches:

The suggestions are (currently) linked to the unique id of the search engine included with Opera.

If you like to use your "old" search.ini you have to change the uniqeIDs

• Wikipedia: AE41FF7A5FC011DDAE47DBEF55D89593
• Yandex: FEAF2EF45FCC11DD8287529456D89593

Update:
The suggestions are not linked to the UniqueId anymore.
You have to add Suggest Protocol and Suggest URL to your search.ini
