The ICON entry
Some standard searches are looking for their icons at http://redir.opera.com/favicons/*
Unfortunately this feature seems to be limited to this path and if Opera Link is activated the ICON-entry will be deleted from every customized search.
But it might still be useful if for some reason your customized search, ex. wiki doesn't show the wiki-favicon

known icons :
ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/google/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/ask/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/yahoo/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/amazon/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/wikipedia/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/ebay/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/yahoo/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/bittorrent/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/kelkoo/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/baidu/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/allegro/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/ceneopl/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/yandex/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/vkontakte/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/ozon/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/mailru/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.opera.com/favicons/jalannet/favicon.ico ICON=http://redir.operachina.com/favicons/taobao/favicon.ico
SearchEdit shows the Entry-Field only by existing ICON-Entries in the Detail Editor, but there is no drop-down list of all the possible icons or a possibility to add an Icon entry.
The UseTLD entry (supported in SearchEdit 0.5)
On first run, Opera (UseTLD=1) contact a Google server, and it returns the correct top level domain (TLD) to use (google.ru for Russia, google.no for Norway, and so on)
Works aktually only for the google domain. UseTLD is mentioned in a changelog only a few days after the release of SearchEdit 0.4
Search Settings SearchEdit 0.4 cannot edit
SearchEdit edits only search.ini's but some settings linked to the searches are saved in the operaprefs.ini
some relevant entries from my operaprefs.ini
Speed Dial Search Type=7CC84BC0115411DE8572B4CD0C8A3ABB Search Type=7CC84BC0115411DE8572B4CD0C8A3ABB Google TLD URL=https://www.google.com/searchdomaincheck?format=domain Google TLD Default=.google.lu Google TLD Downloaded=0
The value of Speed Dial Search Type is the UniqueID of my speed dial search.
The value of Search Type is the UniqueID of my standard search.
In any case you don't need to bother about these 2 settings because you can easily change them using Operas GUI: Preferences → Search (Details)
The “top level domain” stuff is very new and there might be still some changes.
A small note about the upcoming version of SearchEdit 0.5: Mikko has only just started and due the fact that the most important features are integrated long ago and there is no need for a bug-fix version, don't expect the release too soon. A screen-shot of one of our recent internal builds can be seen in the new Online Readme
