Welcome to the StopSpamAlliance Website

The StopSpamAlliance is a joint initiative to gather information and resources on combating spam. This initiative was undertaken by APEC, the EU’s CNSA, ITU, the London Action Plan, OECD and the Seoul-Melbourne Anti-Spam group.

In line with the WSIS Tunis Agenda - asking members to “deal effectively with the significant and growing problem posed by spam” and calling upon all stakeholders to adopt a multi-pronged approach to counter spam - the StopSpamAlliance pages link to initiatives in the field of anti-spam legislation and enforcement activities, consumer and business education, best practices, and international cooperation.

A “common agenda of events“, featuring the international events on spam and relating threats organized by the involved organizations is also available.

Spammers & hackers : Using the RIPE Whois Database to find their network | Spam | Hacking

How can the RIPE NCC help?

The RIPE NCC is the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) for Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia. The RIPE Whois Database holds details of IP address registrations within this region. You are welcome to use this database to track down the source of the network abuse and find contact details of the relevant network administrators.

See: Using the RIPE Whois Database to find the spammer/hacker's network

The RIPE Whois Database is a public database that contains registration details allocated and assigned in the RIPE NCC service region. IP network operators in our service region enter and maintain the data. We aid operation of the database, but are not responsible for its contents. It is not within the scope of activities set by our membership to check data in the RIPE Whois Database for accuracy. Only the maintainers of objects in the database may make changes to data.
