love, quote
... And I promise to touch you ever so gently, That you'll mistake my caress for a swift breeze born for the simple sake of blowing your troubles away.
You are safe child.
But if pain ever dare threaten the safety of our love,
Then I would grant you wings to lift your spirit above the sky and allow your tears to free fall onto the face of the earth, so that its children begin to believe that the rain comes from an angel crying.
So let it rain, let it rain, let it rain and I will stand a hundred miles beneath you with my hands lifted towards the heavens collecting your teardrops in crystal glasses of wine.
Because I believe that this love potion number nine holds the remedy for time and just one taste would allow me to love you forever...

quote, love
Life aint always beautiful
Sometimes it's just plain hard
Life can knock you down, it can break your heart
Life aint always beautiful
You think you're on your way
And it's just a dead end road at the end of the day
But the struggles make you stronger
And the changes make you wise
And happiness has its own way of takin it's sweet time
No, life aint always beautiful
Tears will fall sometimes
Life aint always beautiful
But it's a beautiful ride

quote, love
In a sentimental mood
I can see the stars come through my room
While your loving attitude
Is like a flame that lights the gloom
On the wings of every kiss
Drifts a melody so strange and sweet
In this sentimental bliss
You make my paradise complete
Rose petals seem to fall
It's all I could dream to call you mine
My heart's a lighter thing
Since you made this night a thing divine
In a sentimental mood
I'm within a world so heavenly
For I never dreamt that you'd be loving sentimental me...

quote, feel
Do you ever feel like running away from your life?
Do you ever feel like leaving it all behind?
Do you ever feel like giving up on the spot? Because you feel you've lost it all.
Do you ever feel like no one cares they act all smiley but you know it's just a big lie.
When you feel like there's no hope in this world and you feel like you can't stand it anymore.
Just look at your friends the one's who love you till the end, and will catch you when you fall.
And then you realize there is hope in this world.
Even though nothings going right and you feel there's no way out.
You emotions are building up inside and you feel like there all ready to come out.
You feel like screaming but no one hears, you feel like crying but no one cares.
You feel like packing up and leaving but what would your friends think and your family?
This is your life a whirlpool it is, this is the way you live.
Sometimes you need to breakaway and all the bad memories will fade away.
It's your choice it's up to you, but just remember we will stand by you.

quote, movie
Sean Maguire: Thought about what you said to me the other day, about my painting. Stayed up half the night thinking about it. Something occurred to me... fell into a deep peaceful sleep, and haven't thought about you since. Do you know what occurred to me?
Will Hunting: No.
Sean Maguire: You're just a kid, you don't have the faintest idea what you're talkin' about.
Will Hunting: Why thank you.
Sean Maguire: It's all right. You've never been out of Boston.
Will Hunting: Nope.
Sean Maguire: So if I asked you about art, you'd probably give me the skinny on every art book ever written. Michelangelo, you know a lot about him. Life's work, political aspirations, him and the pope, sexual orientations, the whole works, right? But I'll bet you can't tell me what it smells like in the Sistine Chapel. You've never actually stood there and looked up at that beautiful ceiling; seen that. If I ask you about women, you'd probably give me a syllabus about your personal favorites. You may have even been laid a few times. But you can't tell me what it feels like to wake up next to a woman and feel truly happy. You're a tough kid. And I'd ask you about war, you'd probably throw Shakespeare at me, right, "once more unto the breach dear friends." But you've never been near one. You've never held your best friend's head in your lap, watch him gasp his last breath looking to you for help. I'd ask you about love, you'd probably quote me a sonnet. But you've never looked at a woman and been totally vulnerable. Known someone that could level you with her eyes, feeling like God put an angel on earth just for you. Who could rescue you from the depths of hell. And you wouldn't know what it's like to be her angel, to have that love for her, be there forever, through anything, through cancer. And you wouldn't know about sleeping sitting up in the hospital room for two months, holding her hand, because the doctors could see in your eyes, that the terms "visiting hours" don't apply to you. You don't know about real loss, 'cause it only occurs when you've loved something more than you love yourself. And I doubt you've ever dared to love anybody that much. And look at you... I don't see an intelligent, confident man... I see a cocky, scared s**tless kid. But you're a genius Will. No one denies that. No one could possibly understand the depths of you. But you presume to know everything about me because you saw a painting of mine, and you ripped my f***ing life apart. You're an orphan right? [Will nods] You think I know the first thing about how hard your life has been, how you feel, who you are, because I read Oliver Twist? Does that encapsulate you? Personally... I don't give a s**t about all that, because you know what, I can't learn anything from you, I can't read in some f***in' book. Unless you want to talk about you, who you are. Then I'm fascinated. I'm in. But you don't want to do that do you sport? You're terrified of what you might say. Your move, chief.

friend, quote
1. When you are sad - I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad.
2. When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile - I will know you finally got laid.
4. When you are scared - I'll make fun of you every chance I can.
5. When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be and to quit whining.
6. When you are confused - I will use little words.
7. When you are sick - Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever s**t you have.
8. When you fall - I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass.
This is my oath... I pledge it till the end.
"Why?" you may ask. Because you are my friend.

computer, quote
A Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.
"House" for instance, is feminine: "la casa."
"Pencil," however, is masculine: "el lapiz."
A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"
Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.
Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.
The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computadora"), because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.
(THIS GETS BETTER!)
The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine ("el computador"), because:
1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;
2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.
The women won.

quote, life
Most people think life sucks, and then you die. Not me. I beg to differ. I think life sucks, then you get cancer, then your dog dies, your husband leaves you, the cancer goes into remission, you get a new dog, you get remarried, you owe ten million dollars in medical bills but you work hard for thirty five years and you pay it back and then one day you have a massive stroke, your whole right side is paralyzed, you have to limp along the streets and speak out of the left side of your mouth and drool but you go into rehabilitation and regain the power to walk and the power to talk and then one day you step off a curb at Sixty-seventh Street, and BANG you get hit by a city bus and then you die. Maybe.

life, quote
For many people, it seems sex is the main motivation for doing anything. If they're in a band, it's not about making uplifting music, it's about getting as much sex as possible. If they attempt to become rich, it's not because they want more control over their own lives and want to give millions of dollars to their favorite charities, it's because they want the best sex money can buy.
A seemingly thoughtless life on automatic crotch cruise control seems like such a waste when there are so many things we can do to help make this world a better place for everyone. There's nothing wrong with sex, but humans need to break out of the primitive mind-set that the main goal for doing anything is to obtain sex if each one of us wants to personally evolve to another level where we do things because it's the right thing to do for ourselves and the greater good.

poem, quote
What is a friend? I will tell you. It is a person with whom you dare to be yourself. Your soul can be naked with him. He seems to ask of you to put on nothing, only to be what you are. He does not want you to be better or worse. When you are with him, you feel as a prisoner feels who has been declared innocent. You do not have to be on your guard. You can say what you think, so long as it is genuinely you. He understands those contradictions in your nature that lead others to misjudge you. With him you breathe freely. You can avow your little vanities and envies and hates and vicious sparks, your meannesses and absurdities and, in opening them up to him, they are lost, dissolved on the white ocean of his loyality. He understands. You do not have to be careful. You can abuse him, neglect him, tolerate him. Best of all, you can keep still with him. It makes no matter. He likes you. He is like fire that purges to the bone. He understands. You can weep with him, sin with him, laugh with him, pray with him. Through it all - and underneath - he sees, knows and loves you.
A friend? What is a friend?
Just one, I repeat, with whom you dare to be yourself.

poem, quote
1) Are children who act in rated 'R' movies allowed to see them?
2) When French people swear do they say pardon my English?
3) "Cute as a button" Is that supposed to be a compliment? Since when are buttons cute?
4)Why did Yankee Doodle name the feather in his hat Macaroni?
5)Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here and drink what comes out"?
6)Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken over there ... I'm gonna eat the first thing that comes out if its butt"?
7)Isn't Disney World just a people trap operated by a mouse?
8)Why is it illegal to park in a handicapped parking space but its ok to use a handicapped toilet?
9)Why is it that if something says, "do not eat" on the packaging it becomes extra tempting to eat?
10) Don't you find it weird we teach our kids: scrub a dub dub, three men in a tub?
11) Why would superman want to leap over the tallest building in a single bound if he can fly?
12) Why is the name of the phobia for the fear of long words Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?
13) If when people freak out they are said to be "having a cow", when cows freak out are they said to be "having a person?"

poem, quote
Take a photograph,
It'll be the last,
Not a dollar or a crowd could ever keep me here,
I don't have a past
I just have a chance,
Not a family or honest plea remains to say,
Rain rain go away,
Come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun.
Is it you I want,
Or just the notion
Of a heart to wrap around so I can find my way around
Safe to say from here,
Your getting closer now,
We are never sad cause we are not allowed to be
Rain rain go away,
Come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun.
Rain rain go away,
Come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun.
To lie here under you,
Is all that I could ever do,
To lie here under you is all,
To lie here under you is all that i could ever do,
To lie here under you is all,
Rain rain go away,
Come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun.
Rain rain go away,
Come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun,
All the world is waiting for the sun,
All the world is waiting for the sun.

poem, quote
Pull back the shield between us, and I'll kiss you,
Drop your defenses and come, into my arms.
I'm all for believing, I'm all for believing.
I'm all for believing if you can reveal the true colours within.
I know you blanket your mind so much that I am blind, but I,
I see you've painted your soul into your guard,
I'm all for believing, I'm all for believing
I need to know just how you feel, to comfort you;
I need to find the key let me in, into your heart, to find your soul.

poem, quote
When you said time was all you really needed, I walked away and let you have your space, but leaving didn't hurt me near as badly as the tears i saw running down your face
And yesterday I knew just what you wanted when you came walking up to me with him, I told you that i was happy for you, and given the chance, I'd lie again

poem, quote
Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate;
only love can do that.
Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence,
and toughness multiplies toughness

love, quote
I tried so hard to be the perfect man,
Who gave you love as only one man can.
I tried so hard to comfort you,
Who keeps you safe during all you do.
I tried so hard to give you my all
And to hold your arm when you started to fall.
But I failed at all I attempted to do.
So I'm lost here, so very far from you.

quote, friendship
You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

quote, friendship
Onto the sea
I sailed my boat
And prayed that it
Would stay afloat
From dawn til dusk
From dusk til dawn
In search of love
I drifted on
What happened then
I don't recall
I think it was
A sudden squall
For when I awoke
I thought I died
At the sight of an angel
At my side
But lucky for me
That was not true
For I found love
And love was you.

quote, friendship
Friends
A friend is someone we turn to
when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure
for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives
with beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in
a better and happier place.

quote, thanks
To every guy that cooks dinner for her.
To every guy that regrets hurting her.
To every guy who knows which girl he wants.
To every guy that's said, "Sex can wait."
To every guy that's said, "You're beautiful."
To every guy that was never too busy to drive across town to see her.
To every guy that gives flowers and a card when she is sick.
To every guy who has given her flowers just because.
To every guy that said he would die for her.
To every guy that really would.
To every guy that did what she wanted to do.
To every guy that cried in front of her.
To every guy that she cried in front of.
To every guy that holds hands with her.
To every guy that kisses her with meaning.
To every guy that hugs her when she's sad.
To every guy that hugs her for no reason at all.
To every guy who would give their jacket up.
To every guy that calls to make sure she got home safe.
To every guy that would sit and wait for her for hours just to be able to see her for ten minutes.
To every guy that would give his seat up.
To every guy that just wants to cuddle.
To every guy that reassured her that she was beautiful no matter what.
To every guy who told his secrets to her.
To every guy that tried to show how much he cared through every word and every breath.
To every guy that thought maybe this could be the one.
To every guy that believed in her dreams.
To every guy that would have done anything so she could achieve them.
To every guy that never laughed at her when she told him her dreams.
To every guy that walked her to her car.
To every guy that wasn't just trying to get laid.
To every guy that actually listened.
To every guy that gave his heart only to have it shoved back in his face.
To every guy that prays that she is happy even if you are not with her.
This one is for you...
Not all girls appreciate nice guys. There's not many left out there....

quote, thanks
Fans, for the past two weeks you have been reading about a bad break I got. Yet today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth. I have been to ballparks for seventeen years and I have never received anything but kindness and encouragement from you fans. Look at these grand men. Which of you wouldn't consider it the highlight of his career just to associate with them for even one day? Sure I'm lucky. Who wouldn't have considered it an honor to have known Jacob Ruppert? Also, the builder of baseball's greatest empire, Ed Barrow? To have spent six years with that wonderful little fellow, Miller Huggins? Then to have spent the next nine years with that outstanding leader, that smart student of psychology, the best manager in baseball today, Joe McCarthy? Sure, I'm lucky. When the New York Giants, a team you would give your right arm to beat and vice versa, sends you a gift, that's something. When everybody down to the groundskeepers and those boys in the white coats remember you with trophies, that's something. When you have a father and mother who work all their lives so that you can have an education and build your body, it's a blessing. When you have a wife who has been a tower of strength and shown more courage than you dreamed existed, that's the finest I know. So I close by saying that I might have had a bad break, but I have an awful lot to live for. Thank you.

quote, story
He came over to her house. They went to her room, and he hoped she felt for him, what he felt for her. Pure love! But they were ust friends. Not more. While they were talking in her room, he saw her diary on her desk. We wondered what it said...? Then he got an opportunity to look in it. She had to go to the toilet. He looked and read fast through the last pages:
"I don't know what I should do with him. I can't tell him how I feel about him cuz he would get mad. And i know he has better friends then me. And nicer girls. I hate him so much. What am I supposed to do? How should I tel him what I feel for him? That is just impossible. He is impossible. He's not for me. I'm clueless. How do I forget about him? I..."
He had to stop reading cuz she came back. He felt sick. She hated him? His love hated him...that wasn't possible!! His whole world just had turned upside down. He told her: "I feel really sick...I have to go now!" He ran to the door, and opened it as fast as he could. He went out of the house, onto his bike, fast back home.
The next two weeks he didn't talk to her. She couldn't understand why. She let another week withour communication pass...then she went up to him and asked him: "WHat the hell is wrong with you? Why did you suddenly start ignoring me? I thought we were best friends...? What is wrong with you?"
He just coldly replied: "AS if you wouldn't know..."
She said: "No I don't, either u tell me, or I hv to get along with the thought that u actually don't have a reason!"
He took her aside. "Remember when I was in your room? When you went to the toilet I read your diary...not being friends with e is what you wanted. It said: How can I tell him what I feel about him? I hate him so much!"
She started smiling. She gave him her diary. "Now read it again. And this time...read to the end!"
He opened her dairy and read the whole entry:
I don't know what I should do with him. I have no clue if he feels the same for me. Loving him hurts so much that I want to hate him with all my heart. But I can't...I love him. More then I love anyone else...which makes me hate him too...I don't know what to do...its getting late, and I'm not getting enough sleep...so I'll stop here now...Good night, Diary!"
His eyes filled with tears. He grabbed this girl, and kissed he softly on her lips. Finally they found to each other...

poem, quote
He came to her on a starry night
Her the lady, he the knight
And knelt before her on the ground
Her hands within his own he bound
And gazed into her starlit eyes
Illuminated by the lunar rise
And smiling, produced to her a ring
A trinket to most, a trifled thing
And said to her those words she dreamed
And faltered not, although it seemed
He would.
And she, exuberant, looking down
Could not recall when last she'd frowned
Though tears flowed freely down her face
And settled on her moonlit lace
Her face bespoke rapturous elation
Outshining God's surrounding creations
And opening her delicate mouth
One whispered word made to slip out
And soared across the enchanted night
And on his ears it made to alight
With growing cheer upon its advent
His heart soared forth whenst it gained the content
And all doubts dashed he embraced her dearly
For though it seemed unlikely,
She would.
And spinning upon that ghostly hill
That gorgeous spine of earth instilled
It seemed, with all the wonder of the world
This dear young couple their hearts unfurled
And then, exuberance smiting his face
He stepped away to leave her place
She glanced and questioned lovingly
Where go thou now, my dearest sweet?
And to the world his voice he hurled
"I think, my dear, I shall conquer the world."
