With the release of Apple's App Store there has been a flux in the number of both user and company developed games. As is to be expected the most popular apps in the store are games and a great example that integrates almost every feature of the iPhone is Super Monkey Ball.
For those new to Monkey Ball the aim of the game is to control a monkey in a ball by tilting the stage and hence causing the ball to roll. with the iPhones accelerometer this classic game has been given a new life which reinvents the way the game is played whilst staying true to it's original theme.
The game features 5 stages each containing 11 levels (10 regular and a hidden level) and all stages have a hard and easy level set. Each stage apart from the bonus stage consits of 10 collectable bananas and a goal. The goal of the game is to reach the goal within the one minute time limit.
While the game adapts to to the iPod interface well it has some isues with sensitivity. The game generally runs well and for those working on an iPhone offers a simple yet suitable soundtrack.
Overall id say this game lies on the higher end of the available games it is im sure just a taste of what the future of apple gaming will bring.
