Cabaret

Wow, yesterday my cousin, aunt and i went to the theatre and saw Cabaret. It was so flippen amazing. We sat in the second row from the front, and man alive, was there a lot of crotch and bewb flashing so close to our eyes!
I hadn't known the story line of the play before, so i was surprised to see that is was set in Berlin, and had the whole Nazi-anti-Jew theme running through it vaguely. But the actors were totally amazing, the Emcee was played by a German actor called Sascha Halbhuber, who was absolutely brilliant- i mean the man wore negligee and a ball gown on stage, of course he'd be something special! Actually, they were all brilliant. The way the back up dancers stayed in character all the time, and to a T was awesome to see. And the leading lady, Samantha Peo was... ugh i'm running out of adjectives here! Amazing! Her voice is something special. There has been a billboard outside my office window for the past month declaring that Cabaret was 'nothing short of spectacular' and indeed it was. I'm trying to book again for this week, but it seems all the cheap seats are taken... grrr. Will have to maketh a plan, cos i really would like to see it again.
