Here we go ladies and gents, the theme for Dec chosen by Lucy!

If you could do anything tomorrow, what would it be?

No earthly limits to it. Can literally be ANYTHING.

Now digressing..

I saw New Moon yesterday.. And it was nice. Yes, just nice.. I didn't walk out the theater going WOW that was an awesome kick ass movie but i did enjoy it. And so did all the teenage girlies when Jacob took his top off (in that one scene..bah his shirt is off the whole time anyways!) But who are we kidding, the boy is ripped! Kinda puts Edward to shame. Only a little bit though P: ! It was so funny the way the whole sound of the people in the movie house was so high pitched.. because of all the girls that went to see it.. Gasp? High pitched. Laugh? High pitched.
And then it just ends.. "Will you marry me?" (and me going 'Is this a trick question or something??') My friend who went with me got nudged in the ribs by the girl sitting next to her at the end, telling her that 'Dont worry, Eclipse comes out on the 23rd of April!'
Phew!
Like i dont know what happens already

I got so much music and series and movies i could do the happy dance of joyous joy! Time to reformat the MP3 player.. 8 gig capacity suddenly is NOT enough!

Went to my dad's uncle's funeral today. Why is the word 'fun' in funeral anyways? My cousin from England came down for it.. was nice to see him again.

DURBAN ON FRIDAY! WOOOOOT! Cannot wait!

The End.

Adverts Adverts Everywhere!

Here are some of my favourite Safrican tv adverts that are airing at the moment! Maybe i only find them funny because of the South African-ness? (oh and here's my accent oh so by the way if you've never heard a South African!) :D

It was AMAZING!

Last night was the annual Night of 1000 Drawings, an event where people donate A5 drawings and people can buy them for R100 a pop and IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I havent had this much a good time in forever! My drawing got sold  and i bought i beautiful drawing  (bunnies rock my socks!). There was a doodle battle where illustrators faced off against eachother and the MC would ask for character suggestions from the crowd and Iv and I were screaming MOOSE!! the whole time and eventually he heard and they had to draw moose! Yay!
There was a table with paint and pens and stars and everyone eventually (ok not everyone, only the kids at heart aka us  ) got it all over our faces and we were writing on eachother and drawing on eachother.. it was awesome!
PICTURES! :D

HarHar!

Older people are funny. This woman is about my mom's age.. she refers to like 3 different bands within one status! Popular culture- not a strong point for the 40+ age bracket! (Well, there are the certain exceptions)

Damn You 6 am!

This holiday thing is not working out so far. It's week two of like the 3 month holiday and i don't know what to do with myself! Let me share with you todays SUPER EXCITING events, thus far.

6am- Woken up by a phone call :bomb: My ringtone is Two Timing Touch and Broken Bones by The Hives so i nearly fell OUT of bed in my shocked and delirious state.. You know that weird state where you have NO idea what time it is and cant seem to figure it out? Awesome way to start the day!

Then i read some of the book i got from the second hand book store, Confessions of an Ex-Girlfriend. Yea its a pretty lame read but it keep me somewhat entertained. Only somewhat though.

After that i was STARVING, ready to eat a whale! So i had some Strawberry Pops which i have figured out do not fill me as breakfast should but i dont care because i hate making breakfast. I actually wanted to make some flapjacks but that was waaay too much effort for so early in the morning! Maybe i'll have em for lunch!

Then i decided to get pro-active! And wash Tenacious B the Second (Hand) (my car). Worked up quite a sweat as at 9am it was already sizzling hawt! Contemplated going for a swim, but i felt the water and instantly changed my mind! After that, i looked at the time... to my shock and horror, it was only...

9.30am!!! Gaaaahhhhh! Can the day be moving any more slower?!

Oh my gran got a new puppy, also a lucky packet dog, Ruby.. Shnoo :D

I need to get a horse. Or something.

Sicko!

So this morning i watched that Micheal Moore documentary/film called Sicko, and its all about how America's health care system compares to that of other countries. It was so interesting! England has free public healthcare, so does Canada, France, and in Cuba you pay minimal (like 5 cents!) fees. Whereas now in America, everything is basically run by your top insurance companies and their main objective is to make tons of money, even if that means denying you an operation that will save your life. These companies drop patients off on street corners of hospitals if they cant afford to pay their bills, like Moore said, what kind of society are we living in where people are treated like trash, just thrown away? A greedy one.

Pharmaceutical companies PAY congressmen and women thousands of dollars to kind of get them on their team, so when that bill that's actually going to make people end up paying MORE for meds gets signed, they KNOW it WILL get signed. Its basically bribery and corruption! But i mean like we didnt know that already. The firefighters and volunteers that worked on Ground Zero basically all have health problems after that, yet the State wont pay because 'they were volunteers'. Moore took a group of sick Americans to Cuba and they got stellar FREE treatment at the hospitals there- i found that incredible (and also the fact that prisoners at Guantanamo Bay get better medical treatment that your average American). The Americans have such an issue with Cuba (because of Fidel Castro bla bla) and Cuba is like a third world country, yet they're willing to actually help people in need. Here's America, this HUGE country, super wealthy, and they're still exploiting the people, milking them for all they have. I guess thats why theyre so rich.

And sure the people in France are heavily taxed but all the services they get for free, i think, kind of cancels it out. I mean, for mothers, during the first 3 months you get like a nanny (supplied by the government) to help you out!

In SA, we have state hospitals that are run by the government, obviously, but you literally take your life in your hands when you go to them. The nurses are horrific, its dirty, you gotta take your own bed linen basically.. its really bad. If you have a medical aid or insurance, then that entitles you to go to better, private hospitals (where you dont have to share your bed with rats!). And that kinda stuff is expensive, so most Safricans go to state hospitals. The only good thing about them is that everything is for free.

(this post was by no means a bashing of the American public, i'm just saying! )

ProductReview by The Muse!

Yes yes, as a new installment i shall be reviewing products occasionallly...when i find re-viewable products. And it wont really have any real bearing on your life if you cant get these products, but i'm going to do it anyways! (Because 3 months of holidays are here and you're going to be hearing from me ALOT!)

Today we have Nivea Summer Beauty Firming Gradual Tan Lotion! This pretty looking product promises to give you a 'natural looking summer tan' and 'firm' at the same time. So i was naturally there like a bear as 1) I desperately need a tan (even fake, at this point, i care not!) and 2) Every woman is always looking for a lift of some kind! . This was my first time using such a product, as usually i prefer to do it the au naturale way but desperate times call for desperate measures!
Ok, here we go:

Price- Not too bad, it was around R50 ($7 or so) if i remember? Not bad compared to the rest of the self tanning moisturizers.
Smell- It smells awesome when you squeeze it out of the bottle! BUT then once it's on, it smells a little bit queer. Exactly like the Johnson and Johnson's one actually. Well i guess you gotta pay for fake beauty somehow!
Application- So you have to exfoliate, and put normal moisturizer on first bla bla etc (it doesnt tell you this on the bottle though, so maybe you dont have to but i'd rather be safe than streaky! (yes like bacon.) I nearly dislocated my shoulder trying to get it rubbed in properly on my back, but minor pain, minor pain..
Time- After application you gotta stand around in the buff till all the lotion is completely absorbed and this takes quite a while! So make sure you have absolutely nothing going on straight after putting it on. Or a hot date. Cos you'll smell funny and your clothes will be full of marks!

Ok Ok Muse, but whats the results??

Well! I have put it on twice in a row now and i must say i am very happy with the results! No streaking, no orange knee-caps or ankles (ah, good prep is key!) and its a nice, natural looking glow. I'd give it about an 8/10!

Happy Self Tanning!

(or NOT Li-Lo! )

MOTW- Again?!

*snatches MOTW crown from Lu*

(The following is a letter from MOTW, ShallowMuse. She is currently incapacitated from the shock and slight horror of being MOTW again. Written by her faithful personal assistant, Jeff.)

Dear MyOpera Members (and to whoever else it may concern)

Firstly thank you for choosing me as MOTW. Again. Much appreciated. Who does actually choose the MOTW's? I'm just saying because what about giving the other kids on the playground a chance? I'm sure they'd like a sparkly O-crown and a sash too :D So consider it (and the people on my friends list, because they will rock your socks. ).
And to all those wishing to add me as a friend, PLEASE DONT. I'm not a very nice person and i make babies cry. I still have to get through the 214 friend requests i have at the moment so dont burden me. Please? If you really really must add me, send me a message that makes sense first or comment on a blog or two. I dont like/need space-fillers and i will set Gavin's pack of Californian gerbils on you.
A thank you to the people who keep me coming back here everyday (yes there i admit it, i'm addicted) Lindsay, Lucy, Gavin, Henry, Andrea, Karen, Conor.. My creativity has never been higher (and the crazy images in my head) and i feel silly a lot for nearly falling off my chair from laughter just reading the very off-topic comments that come with each post!

So yes, everyday should be a holiday.
PEACE OUT
'Muse

You're No Oil Painting, Luf!

I think my mom is so talented  Look at her latest oil painting! She called it "Farm Hand". She's had her own exhibition this year and she's constantly getting her pieces sold... Speaking of, i got paid for those drawings today! Yay! I feel so accomplished! But the frames he has are hideous so we're going to go get some better looking ones today.. Although i dont even feel like stepping outside the confines of my warm (well no actually) house because the weather is DISGUSTING (Karen, i'm feeling it too! :bomb: )
