I just installed Opera Mini 4.2 (the final version released today!), it is decisively the coolest phone browser *ever*.

Stuff I love about it:

Skins
Its skin-able again! So I can have my favourite black theme back! And this time around there is a whole range of choices, green, pink, blue, take your pick. Not to mention the browser itself looks a whole lot cooler.

Speed
The new US server park defiantly helps increase speeds. Especially while synchronising with Opera Link.

Opera Link
This is my *favourite* new function. Synchronized notes. No more copying-pasting-uploading to phone cycles. Just right click a body of text on my desktop Opera browser, select copy to note. Then simply walk away and all the notes will lie ready to access from you phone on the go. You don't even have to visit link.opera.com, then navigate to notes. Its all there, ready to access directly from the new interface.
You will find it under Bookmarks>Notes.

Mobile Youtube
Whats the best thing to happen to youtube since youtube? Mobile youtube of course! It works! Videos do stream! Its a major bandwidth hog though.
Couldn't get mobile metacafe to stream though. But hey, they allow the next best thing, they allow you to download in 3gp format. [and depending on your phone model, you can playback during download]


And now my gripes: (lone gripe actually!)

No copy-paste
Copy paste is still not supported. Nor can you download the notes to text format for use on your phone. So although you have access to the information, its still a little hard*er* to use. Hope fully this will be implemented by the next release.


Overall, a bloody good browser just got a whole lot better. It comes loaded with exciting new features, its fast, and hey, its available at a price you just cant beat!
