Nocturnal Ramblings

,

Ah, The joy of venturing out in the stillness of the evening. When the city is headed home to rest its weary self. When the sun has turned in, and the streets are lit by the soft yellow glow of the street lamps.

Construction site of a new metro line they are laying. Sure its going to speed up commute in the future. But it does a great job of creating traffic snarls in the present.

Its always Rush Hour!
Its about 8:30 and the platforms full of people, and trains are jam packed.
There are about seven such platforms, and a train pulls in every 90 seconds. That should give you a fair idea of the volume of traffic.

The movement in the first picture is great, and the volume of traffic as described after the second picture is certainly impressive! I used to commute through Clapham Junction, which is England's busiest station, but I remember tiny one-platform stations in rural Norfolk
