Darkness At Dawn

A total solar eclipse occurred this morning at sunrise in many parts of India, China and Japan. It was a 98% eclipse over Mumbai.

Unfortunately, the rains played truant and blocked my view of the eclipse. :frown:
None the less, it was spectacular to experience a 'sun-rise', twice!

This is the path covered by the eclipse:

Its very rare to be able to see a total solar eclipse. Unfortunately my view was rained out. Well, So near yet far.

I love celestial events.

I cannot image 98%. I experienced a 70% eclipse in the 90s, and it was spectacular.

Aaagh, how annoying about the rain! :insane:

Still, at least you could probably sense the changing of the light. I've never seen a total eclipse but we did have a partial one here about six years ago. It was very eerie - all the birds suddenly stopped singing!

Rain and more rain!

Too bad it blocked your view, thankfully it is posted elsewhere.
