Horrible Weather

Enduring I realize that its been a long time since I last posted here. Not that I have been unwell or unwilling, just short of time, all the time. bigsmile

Anyway, we are facing some horrible weather here. Extremes of temperatures, unbearably hot in the afternoons and unnaturally cool in the evenings. All this punctuated with bouts of heavy showers.

The funny thing about the rain is that it always seems to come bearing down when you are the least prepared for it.
  • Forgot your umbrella? Woosh, rain.
  • Wearing thick jeans which become unbearably heavy once soaked? Woosh, rain.
  • Need to get somewhere fast? Woosh, rains followed by traffic jams.

But the rains do make everything seem so much more beautiful. Lush green grass, tranquil gray skies, you get the drift. Well, I guess every cloud must have its silver lining. (or is it chrome these days?) bigsmile

Same here this past weekend in Vancouver. My car had a good wash when I went shopping. Just did not have the heat you described.

I walked to work in the London rain this morning because I thought that the bus would be unbearably crowded with people trying to keep dry!

I agree that rain can be very sneaky though p

There's indeed something diabolical about rain and its timing.
We take umbrellas along to keep the pain away or at bay.

Here the luck is you can predict rain because the sky is cloudy. I mean, it is either cloudy or sunny, sudden rain happens very seldom and only in summer.
