Shaunak's Dimension

Its been forever - again!

Good Afternoon people. I hope you're all keeping well.

I know. Yet again I have failed to post anything in a long time. My excuse remains the same: work. Anyhow, I have made up my mind to post something today, and I *am* going to do it. Ill just string together a bunch of random things to talk about.

The Common Wealthgames were held here in Delhi recently. Was a bunch of fun to watch, both the sporting events and the scandal that it generated. Turns out the organizing committee has been inflating figures to pilfer public money. (Big Surprise!)
Really do you blame em? It is the 'common-wealth' games! (Gettit?)

I have been busying myself trying to make a wireless data transmission device for a college project. I have nearly finished that and will post a video soon. It samples temperature data, transmits it over an RF link. The receiving board displays the reading. Nothing too high tech, but it was fun to build. I also had to develop a very unique antenna for it. More on that later. For now it would suffice to say that it involves a steel rod and Badminton shuttles!

And finally i will end this post with a random picture. A ZenitE camera! ( Doesn't work anymore sad )

My dad brought it from the 1980's Olympic games held in the USSR. Served well for close to 3 decades!

Heh, that's awful about the trees! What's beautiful about dead stumps? sad

Hope the exam goes well! I'm hoping to go back to university next year. I'm not thinking too much about the exam side of things scared

Oh what an honor! NOT. The trees were worth a lot more.

Will be looking forward to explanation of your new device. Sounds like nothing I could do, but interesting.

Good luck with your exam. I feel sorry for the trees. How does fewer trees make a city more beautiful? Good look at college; looking forward to seeing the antenna.

And last but not least, welcome back. smile

The camera looks interesting. Isn't it something, that the camera is the subject of the picture. smile
I hope daily city life isn't disrupted with the visit, I wonder what it'll accomplish.
Oh and you should be studying, not reading this comment p
Wish you all the best for your exam. up

I'm totally into that camera! Growing up during the Cold War, I still find all things of the former USSR to be exotic, mysterious, forbidden fruit. cool

Bonjour Shaunak ! Maybe you could find someone to fix your camera ? There are some people who are true experts in such cameras ! I got some old ones too, I should take a picture to show you. They do not work anymore too... worried

Good luck for your exam ! smile
