So true. Fresh fruit and vegetables at the supermarkets here are expensive and of low quality. They are bred for ability to survive transport, not for taste or nutritional value.

I'd grow my own vegetables, if I had more time, and only buy exotics like pineapples.

If they manage to crossbreed fruit and vegetables with grasshoppers, they could save a serious amount on transport.
Nice post, it is a safe investment as people need food.
