Obama is on his way here

His imperial highness, lord of lords, emperor Obama is on his way to Mumbai. And guess what the government of India has done to ensure his safety? Sealed off the entire south of Mumbai, that too bang in the middle of festive season.

It is the middle of the holiday season, Diwali here in India. This the the time when most folks go out, shop, buy gifts and celebrate. Roughly the Indian equivalent of Christmas. And thanks to El Presidente gracing us with his visit, all shops in South Mumbai will remain SHUT, and the Gateway of India inaccessible to the general public.

This is like shutting off New York's grand central on Boxing Day.

The people of Mumbai are all set to welcome Obama.... with the filthiest words you can find in any language. smile
