生まれゆくものたちへ - umareyuku monotachi e - To those being born

DAI has come back, and they've released a new P.V. They're also coming to Dallas this September to perform in an anime convention. If it's the last thing I do, I have to make it. orz

Anyway, I've been looping the song and P.V. to a point of utter annoyance for most other people (but not for me!!). Here it is. I just had to share, even if no one watches. XDD

Lyrics and translations taken from: http://globemoon.net/waftf/dai/lyrics/umareyuku-mono-tachi-e_trans.html

We were all born crying
And all bear a cross
On a journey of searching, not knowing what we're living for,
Right up to the very end.

The sky is full of stars; a shining future
Still holding a faint dream in our hearts...

Amid all those sad times,
Your life is beginning:
To you who are being born,
All we do is pray for something we can do.

Under the tree of transmigration,
We are reborn again and again;
Our souls crawl out of the peaceful sea,
On an endless journey.

In a corner of this long history that so many people have walked,
Making mistakes and loving along the way...

Amid all these sad times,
Your life is beginning:
To you who are being born,
All we do is pray that we can open a door.

Ah, our lives that began with love.
Ah, the adoring eyes of our hearts.
Ah, let the gods of our genes
Guide us to an answer.

Amid this passing time
When even our fate of perishing is beautiful,
To you who are being born,
Take on eternal wings and look up to the sky!

(We are born...)
(We cry...)
(We are born...)

Ah...

Ahhhh, Tomiko is just too... asioa;eijae'rankwegna. I'm too affected, too affected... OTL

Bad Blogging

We went for a drive up to B.C. today. Unfortunately, my camera battery gave out on me, and I was unable to snap any photos to post. Nonetheless, it was a nice getaway.

Kalafina and Kajiura Yuki performed in Boston today. Reading the reviews and comments by attendees over at CPM.net makes me so happy and excited for them, but also envious! Ah.. I'm wondering if maybe I should've chose to attend Boston instead of Japan. I think that in Boston, fans have the opportunity to be in much closer proximity to the singers than in a large concert.

(And I'm half-regretting putting my real name in the CPM scrapbook instead of my pen-name, due to a far-fetched hope that one of the singers would be bored/curious enough to trace it back to this blog or something.. orz)

Work is getting really busy. Weekends are getting busy. I'm getting eager to write more. To sleep more. And simply utilize this summer to accomplish some things. And....

..to blog more.

I know, I know... I ALWAYS say this, but the frequency never changes. I'm trying to drop into the blogs of some artists I like, such as that of Ms. Kaori Oda's. She updates quite frequently (but I haven't been meticilous/somewhat lazy to Google-translate and read them all.. orz). Her most recent one talks about (I think) dropping into a massage parlour after work.

Maybe I should also post such random events of my life.

So...

today, we drove to... oh, wait. I already said that.

Maybe I'm just a bad blogger. - -;

New Writings! ....Or Not.

Old readers may remember I had once started a My-Otome fanfiction (the last update was in August of '08, to be exact). And, well, no, unfortunately, this post isn't to inform you all that I've written something new (though I did proof-read it again). Rather, I moved and arranged what I had previously written onto another site. It's nicer and quicker to update than fanfiction.net, and I think when (if) I ever get my original fiction up and running, I would could post there too.

So, here it is, if you'd like to take a look. Any suggestions or productive criticisms are welcomed.

The World's Top Ten Places to Live

As taken from here.

1. Vienna
2. Zürich
3. Geneva
4. (tie) Vancouver, Canada
4. (tie) Auckland, New Zealand
6. Düsseldorf, Germany
7. Munich
8. Frankfurt
9. Bern, Switzerland
10. Sydney

As I expected, lots of European cities. (Europe~, Vienna~~~~)

No American cities, but one Canadian! I really like Vancouver. Great cultural center, and it's on the coast and by the mountains. The prairies are too windy! @_@

Lunch. Um, yeah.

Never mind about meticulously keeping this blog as a diary. Randomness for the win!!

I went out to lunch with my supervisor and another person who works in the lab with me. We ate at what I think is a "bar and diner". I had something that was a kind of cross between a cheese-grilled sandwich and a hamburger. The burger-meat part was HUGE, JUICY, and probably added a few millimeters of fat to my arteries. Suffice to say, I didn't finish it (but now that I'm kind of hungry, I wish I had at least doggy-bagged it..)

Why does it take so long for printers/scanners to install!? @____@
