Blog Snapshots

I went back to work at my part-time job at the lab today, doing data-entry. It was so boring... T__T I need to add one more resolution to my list: learn how to drive!!! It takes me two hours to get to work by transit when it would only take 25 minutes by car... At least I save the environment...
My winter break is coming to a close. Next week, I'm back in school. There's still too many things I want to do before heading back, especially piano. Yikes. I really need to get that Beethoven movement down...
I got a Christmas gift from my boss!
I rarely use paper journals. Heck, I rarely use this journal/blog! But I still like these kind of things. Books, journals, things with blank paper, etc., etc.. I think it's the feeling of potential: I could potentially write a great story in it, or an insightful memoir. How should I use it? I was thinking that it is hard trying to write blogs after a long day at school or work, because I am usually quite tired and lazy by then, so if I kept a journal with me at all times, I could write in it whenever I had a thought. Hmm.. can I shake off my laziness and actually make that work!?
I'm also in the middle of writing a review of Yuki Kajiura's LIVE Volume 2 concert. It's taking a much longer time than I thought! But I think I've changed my mind regarding who my favourite singer is.... Also, one thing I wonder about: why are there no "El Cazador" songs, not even in the other lives? Only imagining them singing the main theme makes me feel faint... *__*
Lastly: I bought two pop CD's the other day.. English ones! It's been a while since I did that. Rihanna and One Republic. I only got the latter because it was cheaper if you bought two. But yes. I still like catchy dance tunes, apparently (I went through a whole trance/dance/DDR music phase when I was in high school).
So, here ya go, everyone. Don't stop the music!

I agree with your sentiment regarding books, I mean actual books, that one can hold in one's hand. The internet is a vast, seemingly never-ending, trove of literature and knowledge and learning, but books themselves, as non-virtual entities, are a delight and a wonder and a gift to hold and to read at arm's length. Good luck to you in your learning.

I took a notebook with me to Waterton and scribbled down observations to form the framework of my later blog posts. It did help. But it also required a lot of editing!

work with only data is really boring, luckily that I don't have to count the number of colonies on my plate!
ps. a nice notebook! though I'm using notebooks less and less now...
ps. why I always think there's something wrong on your top image??? the color? or the blue text??? (why do you use this non-Yuki song's title here???)
I just found it: http://template.cocolog-nifty.com/000179/two_column_right/sample/index.htm
hoping this top image may give you some inspiration... (or maybe it's only my own strange feeling toward your image...)
by the way, I enjoy the rush hour commune, I used to do some meditation on a bus when I was in high school! -_-||

You're right: there is only one way to go, and that is forward. No rest for the weary, is there?
Hi Adele,
The city needs to invest more into making transit more effective! I don't really mind taking the bus/train, but it really does feel like I've wasted my day when I start adding up all the hours.. Yes, I can imagine the editing must be time-consuming! Plus, my hand-writing is very messy.. But I will give it a try anyway!
あはよう, きちゃん,
Yes, I get cross-eyed when I have to stare at little things for too long.. @_@ But I like making graphs, especially when a trend is seen, because it means the experiment actually WORKED!
I like the blue text! It matches with the links on the side, right? ...right...? Or maybe I'm just not as talented in PS and image-designing as you... orz... And about the non-Yuki song title: I know, I know, it's like I'm defying my religion, isn't it (Goddess Yuki, forgive me!) But I really like the song "Kirei na Kanjou"... it is very sentimental to me.

however, I don't why, I can't listen to Kireina kanjou for much times, and I've deleted it from my computer -_-||
ps. I've shocked by the song you linked... a bit strange to me...

Thanks for the explanation. Do you find writing in japanese script comes naturally to you, even though you were born and raised in Canada? I'm guessing that the spiritual-cultural connection to your ancestor country is a powerful one and it evinces an inherited ability to create the script in a 'natural flow', so to say. Perhaps I am mistaken but connections to one's ancestors seems to be often a very powerful 'inner feeling' and a 'mark of inheritance'.

Welcome back to Opera!
Yes, and welcome back, Ki-chan
You... you deleted the song? T__T Well, everyone has their favourites and non-favourites, I guess.
Hi Wufei,
Ah, lucky! I would like another month off. Happy holidays to you then, I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating the festival.
Hi Lokutus,
Oh, sorry. I guess I should have explained further. Japanese isn't my native language: I just like their music and language.
