It's far from awesome, really. It has many flaws (sample attenuation and layer attenuation broken here and there, etc.). It should be good for a starter listener, but a composer or professional engineer could find it a mix of low- and high-points.

There's a lot that would have to be redone with the SF. Until recently there was no hardware (no Audigy 2 card) for that. There might be a 2.0 release sometime in the future.

It's a bit surprising there's been as much interest in Silverspring in the half-baked state it's been.

Anyway, from half-destructive criticism to something more creative, why not send over some links to sites with the new MIDI files and maybe some new MIDI pieces?

One thing is I played Banjo Kazooie midis for the N64 at vgmusic.com. since, they use a lot of sax. The instruments mostly sounded great but, your saxes seem to be too short of a note to make that sax noise, while other Soundfonts have a regular sax tone. That music is a good one if you want to improve or compare saxaphones on your soundbank.

I like how your instrument samples are taken from the real thing and converted to SF2. :)
