Simple Tournament Director
Tuesday, 2. October 2007, 00:06:00
Simple Tournament Director is free! It helps you manage your home game poker tournaments. You set up levels, blinds and chip-values for the tournament and it will display this during the course of the tournament. The program is written in Java so you can run it under most operating systems like Microsoft Windows and Linux. as long as the latest version(1.6) of Java is installed.
Macintosh OS X is not yet supported since it uses an older version (1.5) of Java.
Be advised that as of now there is no player or table management in Simple Tournament Director. If you need that kind of functionallity you should pay for some of the more advanced packages out there.

Thanks man, this program is exactly what i was looking for.
I've been using a cracked version of the tournament director but that's just a nightmare to configure. With your software we were playing poker in two minutes. No nagging about players, tables, buyins or players whatsoever.
Thanks again mate.

Hi, great app, and very easy to use too.
It just would be great if the background colors were customizable in the settings.
Ciao

i am having trouble with this software, i have used this for about 8 months with no problem, now when I try to open it it says it is unable to open application. I have uninstalled and re installed java and this is not helping. I have a big tournament coming up in 2 days. Can you help. I also tried to uninstall the tournament director but it tells me that it is unable to completely uninstall the program.
thanks

I will find a solution for this later this evening. It probably involves setting up my own webserver to host the files and I'm hoping to have it fixed by friday.
Again I'm very sorry about all the trouble caused by this.

Can I use this program on Opera mini?
KrankSoft # 23. June 2008, 16:00
Simple Tournament Director requires a full Java 6 runtime environment while cellphones have a shrinked version(j2me) of Java.
I'm working on a version for j2me but this will probably take some time to complete as I have a lot to do these days.

do i have to be on line and how do i get the voice to work
KrankSoft # 5. August 2008, 09:57
Voice should work out of the box but you have to enable it. Do that by clicking the Preferences button in the level editor.

This program is exactly what i was looking for.
Install on eeepc linux and work very well.
Thanx a lot for this soft.
Just tell me, do you plan to manage multi table, with names of participants ? Random place around the table, etc.
It will be great, but don't worry, it's already very good.

Hi, very nice app...
I am having an issue though where it won't go full screen (using F1 doesn't work). I am on Ubuntu 8.04 and my laptop screen is 1920x1200 if that helps.
Any ideas?

Update to post yesterday... The output in the java console is:
12-Sep-2008 11:18:40 kranksoft.std.gui.MainFrame formKeyPressed
INFO: modifiers: keykode: F1
12-Sep-2008 11:18:40 kranksoft.std.gui.MainFrame setFullScreenMode

Great program, works very well. Any chance you could add a female voice and /or others?
Thanks
KrankSoft # 17. September 2008, 10:08
This does not have a high priority as I do have several other todos which are way more important. One of them actually relates to a weird and scary sound in my car

Again thank you for this soft, I use it many times and every players really appreciates what you make.
keep going please :)
KrankSoft # 21. October 2008, 11:16
New version in the making which will make it a lot more usable.
It will probably be released next week.
greenkayak # 4. November 2008, 17:58
With the new update last night, I experienced a problem with the blinds not working. When hitting the Next Level button, the clock forwards but the blinds do not change.
And it seems to want to update each time I start it now, even though it has updated 5 times now.
I am not sure if the above problems are just isolated to myself and something I need to figure out on my Lenovo T60 (XP) or something others are experiencing also. Thought I would pass it along and give you a heads up.
Thanks again for the great program.
KrankSoft # 5. November 2008, 23:23
As for the software updating each time you run it just try to uninstall and run it again from the webpage. Your settings will still be there.
Also check your homedir and delete both the VoiceEngine.zip file and the folder VoiceEngine if it's there. On xp it should be c:\documents and settings\username. Linux /home/username.

Hello! I run the program last evening during a S&G with my friends and it was great, but i found some problems :
I run it on a Eeepc 901 with Ubuntu 8.10. In the settings screen there are no a "preferences" button like the windows screen you post and so it's impossibile to configure all. The problems is that the windows is lower in the bottom then the usual. This is a screen : http://www.neroincubus.com/public/pokertournament.jpg
Thanks for all.

I have been using your program for months and it is fantastic!!! We love it! But today I tried to open it and Java is telling me it is unable to launch the program? I have the latest java update, and I even uninstalled the program to try and RE download it, still won't open. Any ideas? Thanks for a great program, I hope I can get it to work again soon.
Thanks for any advice guys
