We Need Peace Debut CD

I started singing in 4th grade, and recall when my elementary school won national singing competition three years in a roll. I was a proud member of that singing group. It did not stop there, I have been singing with small groups, different church choirs, played guitar, led worship teams and still performing solos whenever the opportunity knocks. Along the line, I started writing poems. After a year of Guitar lessons, my poems became songs. Then the songs become recorded demos. Finally, I have turned 11 of my demos to a debut CD called “We Need Peace.”
On that morning when Jesus was born, angels made announcement saying “...on earth Peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2v14. Therefore, “We Need Peace” and “It’s time to pray” are the heart and soul of my album. It is the will of God for all of us to live in a peaceful world. A world filled with love, justice, respect and all good stuff. I want peace for my children, and their children as well as everyone in this world.
I have many personal meanings to my songs, and messages that relate to real life experience. Everyone can relate to them and with attached lyric sheet my songs are easy to sing along. This is a dream come through, songs written with passion. Derived from pure and a sincere heart, you will love it. With a touch of Fanti and Spanish, I would love for my CD to cross all boundaries. Among these 11 songs you will find “In the Garden,” “Dicelo a Cristo (Tell it to Jesus)” and “Siempre te Amare (I will always love you).” With a little African touch, I concluded this CD with a Fanti song “Ye Wo Biribi (We have something).”
Influenced by many great musicians such as Lucky Dube, Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, UB40, Don Williams, Kenny Rogers and Willie Nelson. However, I have created melodies unique from all other artist. These sounds may be different to some people, but it is my way of reaching every peace loving person of all ages.
This CD is 30 something year old dream of mine, it’s finally here! There were many obstacles, but God made a way. Still not perfect, but I’ll work much harder next time. I do not have 1000's of dollars for promotion and or marketing, because I have spent all I have to make this CD (my dream) possible. What’s left is a solid confidence that every one of you (my friends) would help spread this message of peace. Buy two CDs or more, give one to a stranger, a friend, a family and don't forget to wish them “Peace.”
