It's sobering how one's life can end... Steve jobs was a man whose mind worked ahead of the times: he always had his own unique ways with innovation. Starting with his early days; he made the first command line-independent operating system featuring graphical User Interface. At that time, windows was dependent on DOS, in fact, windows 3.1 was a graphical user interface for DOS. After that, later versions of mac pc's were seen to possess integrated Hardware: all you got to see was a keyboard and mouse connected to a fat-looking monitor!
Since then he's been stunning us in both hardware and software/OS levels. The iphone, when it was introduced, was in a class of it's own; showing the possibilities of capacitive touchscreens amongst other things and the ipad was an attempt at showing what a tablet can do when it comes from the bowels of apple's factories and has served as a challenge to other manufacturers who don't seem to take them lightly, htc, samsung, LG and others have taken the smartphone and tablet enterprises seriously:some smartphones now hold processors that would shame a desktop pc containing a pentium 4 1.3ghz processor!
Before apple was very well known in Nigeria for computers, the ipod was a must-have! It was a music player that people just couldn't keep their eyes off.
Steve was a Legend... He seemed to know what people wanted to have in a device but hadn't thought of... He seemed to live in tomorrow. Too bad cancer got him... I wanted to see the next big thing he'd think of.
