IOS vs Android.... Let's end this

"When you play this game of phones, you win or you die."
For quite a while, the debate..or serious flame war has been on for quite a while. And I don't blame 'em. Smartphones have come a long way from the Palm Treo. Apple caused a major revolution in the smartphone industry. And now Android OS is giving apple's iOS a good run for their money.
Did I hear someone hiss? Take an objective look and you'll begin to understand why trolling for your preferred mobile operating system is childish.
Lets start by taking a quick look at iOS; a touch based UI that displays apps upon screen unlock in a well spaced grid. A task switcher that doubles as a task manager. Spotlight search for media, applications, e-mails, contacts, messages, reminders, calendar events etc. A notification window dragged from the top of the screen. Apps can be merged to form app folders. An intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator called Siri..
Pros:
Simple, intuitive interface.
Shallow learning curve - so easy your grandmother could use it well.
Cons:
Very limited user customisation is possible (unless of course you choose to Jailbreak your device)
.Task switching is used. No multitasking available for apps.
Now, lets see what Android OS has to offer; A touch based UI that displays a set of home screens upon screen unlock in which shortcuts as well as widgets can be inserted by the user. An app drawer that shows all apps. An expandable notifications panel with quick access to bluetooth, wifi, GPS,auto rotate, brightness and audio profiles.
Pros:
Extremely customizable - by carriers, handset makers and owners.
Multitasking
Cons:
Each handset maker and carrier can do what it wants with Android, you can't rely on one phone to look and behave like another.
When you take a good look, you'll realise that both phones are meant for different types of smartphone users. If you like things simple, go apple. If you can actually handle customizing your phone and don’t want everything deadlocked by your vendor, go android. When you look at the essential definition of a smartphone... They both perform admirably. Nobody's forcing you to choose one. People are different. So are smartphones. So will the trolls PLEASE pull their heads out of their butts and realise that no smartphone is perfect. There will always be improvements. There will always be creativity. If you can't handle it, row your boat gently off a cliff.
