Alone

Alone

Sometimes you feel so alone,

Cold shivers run up and down your bones.

You become desperate for that one touch of warmth.

Longing for attention, a place called home.

But no one seems to listen, care or respond.

So maybe you do something drastic-like cut through your arm.

But then they think nothing more of you, all you are is a freak.

You return home grab a .44 out of your fathers dresser drawer,

Not a word comes out of you, you can no longer speak.

As you sit up in heaven and watch your family roam,

You wonder how they never thought you felt so alone.

Give

Give

What would I give to be loved? To be held, to be kissed, to be adored by, to be thought of, to be wanted by. What would I give? My heart already shattered, my soul already taken, my mind already provoked, my body already cold. What would I give? What would I do to have hope and a dream? What would I give?

What would you give to love me? To hold me, to kiss me, to adore me, to think of me, to want me? What would you give? To fix my shattered heart, to retrieve my taken soul, to cleans my mind, to make warm my body? What would you give? What would you give to give me hope and a dream? What would you give?

Everything I would give to be loved, To be held, to be kissed, to be adored by, to be thought of, to be wanted by. Everything I would give. My heart may be shattered, soul already taken, mind already provoked, my body cold, but everything I would give to have hope and a dream. Everything I would give.

Nothing would you give to love me because I am not worth being held, kissed, adored, thought of or wanted by. Nothing would you give. Nothing would you give to fix my shattered heart, retrieve my taken soul, cleans my provoked mind, make warm my body. Nothing would you give to give me hope and a dream, because I am not worth it. Nothing would you give.

The Lies of Locke Lamora

Okay. So I started reading this book called The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott lynch, that I had for like years but never thought to actually read. It really is a pretty good book. At first I wasn't much interested because to be honest, it was boring-you have to admit. But I guess that was because I didn't understand it then. So the way the book is written is simply genius. The story is divided into two interspersed stories(I just say the story is divided into past and present tense.) In the present time, the Gentlemen Bastards must contend with the Grey King, a powerful figure terrorizing Camorr's criminal community. Every other chapter, however, delves into the history and mythology of Camorr, the Gentlemen Bastards, and especially the protagonist Locke Lamora.-yes I just copied and pasted that from Wiki-lol.
But I'm without a doubt looking forward to reading another book from Scott Lynch-preferably the second book to this series. And I believe that the only reason I'm loving this story is because of the wonderful ass-kicking characters. Like no lie-these orphan dudes are beast! I think this story is Like one of the best books I've read, and thats saying a lot because I have read plenty of good books.
Im not quite sure that dividing the story like that however was a good idea because(just like me) people will tend to get lost and very confused. But its not till the first official chapter that you catch the jest of the story and how its worked. But he pulled it off, and really good too.
Maybe Im just over exaggerating about how amazing this story is but the way Scott Lynch writes is simply mind blowing. Its different, its interesting, it keeps you on the edge of your seat, it keeps you talking about the story long after you've finished reading and the book is old news. Thats how good it is. Freak pirates you got the Gentleman Bastards!
So with that said, you wont regret reading this book. Its everything I said it is and if not, more! You'll find yourself amazed with this book and you'll never forget it. The characters are witty and sarcastic and instantly lovable. So if you have this book but never thought to read it like me-read it! Im serious, just read it. You wont regret it. And when you do read it or have read it-tell me so I can say...HA! I TOLD YOU IT WAS WORTH IT!
