Just Another Kiwi

Hi Friends

Television - like it or hate it.

Since at least one third of our TV free viewing time in New Zealand is adverts and more adverts, advertising is our major television hate.

Do other bloggers have TV hates, or is it all lapped up night after night, regardless.

Crappy talk shows and those fakes like "big brother", people on a "desert" island, and such.

I don't watch much TV at all- usually have a lot to do on computer in the evening. DVD player gets a lot more work.

Think I could happily do without TV, but because it's there I watch it, whatdo I hate ? that's easy soap operas they just drive me mad, though I'm one of the increasing minority who enjoy reality TV

Yes, too much TV is as cheap as dish-water. Presented at minimum cost to satisy the feeble minded.

Thank you for your comment. Please check back again.

My television hates are at election times when the campaign advertising goes overboard. Also some of the late night shows where they are marketing to the crowd they figure is up at that hour, that gets silly too. And anymore I get my news from the net since most of the channels are biased.

maddysman:Yes, very much the same here. With you on night shift, I guess that your TV viewing is even more selective. Internet is by far the best news source here too. Skip1.

T.V. quality around the world seems to be following the same pattern where the shows that used to be on had some sort of redeeming factor, but now it's just filth, propaganda, and images that fly by so fast you have no chance to see consciously what is going into our subconscious which in turn affects our behavior. I got rid of mine years ago and I don't miss it.

must say, same everywhere, you just want to enjoy a program and the station puts so many adverts, you forget what you were watchimg in the first place

TV money makers must take the blame for much of the ever increasing crime in our world. 'This is how it's done' programs. Shocking!
