Now I Know What Is Wrong.

After tests in the hospital, to find out what is causing my T.I.A.'s (mini strokes), I have got a report back. Good news is my arteries are alright, chest is clear,liver and kidneys are good. Not so good news is 'that the left side of the heart is enlarged and impaired in terms of it's function, there is some leakage across the aortic valve, and there is impairment of the left ventricle.' So that is what is causing my high blood pressure. I do not know what is going to be done about it. I have never had any trouble at all with my heart in the past. Have to wait and see.

On a lighter note, I am still in very good spirits and just need to get on with my artworks now. It is said that we are in for a bad winter here this year, so it gives me time and opportunity to work indoors in my studio.

The leakage has created a low ejection fraction? I have heart ailments also. They can do so much more with heart problems than ever before, and many with meds alone. And you might be right about winter, I ran across a woolly bear caterpillar yesterday and its middle band was very large.

Hi Skip,

So sorry that you are having these difficulties this year, or to have them anytime at all, but you are in my prayers and will get through these situations. Just listen to the doctors and get a second opinion, then when you have acquired confidence in their recommendations, select the options that make the most sense to you.
