I am back on Opera Community.

,

bigsmile hi

A lot has happened since my last time here, but not much to relate here. I am still soldiering on.

I have missed the cameradery that one gets here. Facebook is like a shot of vodka, whereas OC is like a matured fine wine.

Artwise I have been painting figures, they are a celebration of totally natural beings, and I depict nothing man-made now (that has all been done by everyone else, including me up until now). I am still trying to illustrate an ancient story, 'How the Dineh began on the Earth', but I need more study.

Gardenwise it is a mess and I try to spend more time there to get ahead of it. So far, I have seeded tomatoes, chillies, sweet peppers, and a range of bee-friendly flowers.

Vibes of love, peace, and happiness going out to all here. yes

bigsmile bye

A New Year.

I guess our friend is working hard in the garden now. The plants have to get accustomed to the perpetual rains. They need buoys.
Have a great Sunday, Crysta,Tyler,Kent and our artist Skip. smile

Kent E. Olssonkentsopera Sunday, June 24, 2012 6:29:06 PM

Thank you Jean, it is pouring here last night, today and more on Monday. Same to you and keep your powder dry, hahaha

Still getting cooked around here. The grass has had it. coffee

FIFINELEB Sunday, June 24, 2012 9:02:58 PM

I will,Kent. It will perhaps be necessary to set fire into the barbecue. smile
No need to mow it then,Tyler. You're lucky. smile

Tyler Parke YoungCaptivevet Monday, June 25, 2012 2:38:07 PM

I don't have to mow it anyway. The maintenance guys have to do it. They mowed it too short and that is why it burned up. coffee

FIFINELEB Monday, June 25, 2012 8:10:08 PM

Will grow again. Grass is tough. smile

Tyler Parke YoungCaptivevet Tuesday, June 26, 2012 3:30:22 PM

Grass should be kept at about 4 inches for the best results I think. cool

der WandersmannderWandersmann Tuesday, June 26, 2012 4:29:36 PM

Our place has hired idiots to destroy the grass every Summer, too. They cut it too short, and it's brown. Well, tan. When I had a house in this clomate, I had a general rule: Look at the grass before I cut it. Our Springs are usually pretty wet, and the grass grows like crazy. Usually about the middle of June, or maybe even earlier, things dry up, with a vengeance. I'd stop mowing until it rained, then, because the dang stuff wouldn't grow at all if it didn't get watered, and it sure didn't get watered by me ... damned if I was going to support a monoculture in an unsuitable environment. I'd generally notice that around mid-September, it was starting to grow again, so I'd mow until it got cold enough to stop it.

FIFINELEB Tuesday, June 26, 2012 7:55:06 PM

You are right,Tyler and Wandersmann. Too short is not a good idea except for mini-skirts. smile

Tyler Parke YoungCaptivevet Wednesday, June 27, 2012 4:25:40 PM

Hi heels and short skirts! Works for me! lol coffee

FIFINELEB Wednesday, June 27, 2012 6:47:32 PM

Tyler Parke YoungCaptivevet Saturday, June 30, 2012 5:15:26 PM

Fer instance: I would never wear a speedo! I could get arrested. Anyway, the Sun and I are not friends. cool

der WandersmannderWandersmann Saturday, June 30, 2012 5:49:35 PM

Me, too! I'm just too much of a Celt to take any sun.

FIFINELEB Saturday, June 30, 2012 7:41:39 PM

I didn't like the plus fours. I wore them one day. Reminds me of Tintin. smile

Tyler Parke YoungCaptivevet Sunday, July 1, 2012 6:00:41 PM

Hi,Kent! Happy to see you around bringing some good weather with you. smile
We saw you with a posh cap the other day,Tyler. smile

Kent E. Olssonkentsopera Monday, July 2, 2012 1:25:18 AM

Hi Jean, Please tell me when Summer comes to Europe and we can stop sloshing around in knee hight grass and mud. Hope you and yours are well. cool <----- Hopeful coffee

FIFINELEB Monday, July 2, 2012 8:49:39 AM

I am trying to mow the grass today morning but it is very wet and I have to wait in order not to mow more water than grass. What did we do to the sky! I wonder.
Tyler is busy with his collection of caps I fancy. Once I had a collection of ties in another time when teaching. I have kept only one ,a black one, to use for my burial. Now I like best roses.
Have a wonderful week,Kent. Summer will take the power very soon. smile

Tyler Parke YoungCaptivevet Monday, July 2, 2012 5:00:25 PM

Cap? What cap? doh

My area is burning up and your areas are drowning in rain. Kick the system on the bottom and maybe it will reboot. I read that in the manual. coffee

alien : What the Hell is that Earthie talking about?

FIFINELEB Monday, July 2, 2012 7:32:37 PM

Sorry for the fires in Colorado. Terrible! 10.000 homeless! I hope the wind will slow down.
Don't forget your cap when it is very sunny,Tyler. That's what my granny regularly said to me when I was young. smile

Tyler Parke YoungCaptivevet Thursday, July 5, 2012 8:17:37 PM

The drought was broken by massive summer T-storms over the last two days. My holiday was a little bit wet. lol
