Thoughts on a Winter's Day.

Well, everyone seems to be getting a variety of illnesses with the onset of Winter. I can only send out good positive vibes for all of you (you know who you are) to get and feel much better.

Of course, I am mainly working indoors now and giving my easel frustrations and joy. I very recently completed the best portrait that I have ever done in such a short time as I had to complete it for the patron. It was very satisfying working on it. Now I need to carry on with my other planned paintings. Keeping busy.

I have been very generously given some fig tree cuttings and have been reading up on figs. I have learned that figs are full of all kinds of goodness. I ought to have the first crop next year.

Do not ask what others can do for you, but what you can do for others.

Hi,Skip. Still very cold here in Liège. Minus 8 at night and -3°C in the morning with a few sunny intervals but gusts of wind from the north. Glad your painting is OK. I have got some peas growing in my greenhouse. I am experiencing that now.They will probably be ready for the Christmas turkey. I can't stay quiet. Haha.

I have got a painter among my colleagues. He liked to paint landscapes from Hesbaye. One of his paintings are hanging in my hall. We used to gossip a lot some time ago.Do you know Paul Delvaux? He lived 10 km from my place in Antheit near Huy.

I do not know much of painting and painters but it was in the local newspapers some years ago. I admire your patience in front of your easel,Skip. I am quite unable to do so. All I can do is paint a ceiling. Haha.
