Teenage Scrawlings

Disturbia

So I guess it's about time for a new post...

So, the past few days I've been spending a lot of time with Sammy and Gustavo (formerly known as Gus haha....much like the "Pat/Patrick" incident of a few years back, we discovered after calling him that for a while that he didn't like the name haha). We went into town a few times- to get my photos developed, to go to Subway, to go grocery shopping at 10 pm, etc.

The days all seem to blur together, which is part of the reason I haven't been writing so much. I can never seem to sit down and say, Okay, so yesterday I did this, today I did this, and last Wednesday I did this.

School work has been going pretty well. We've made friends with this girl named Lissa, who lives on Brown 3rd and is in my psych class, much to our surprise haha. We haven't hung out all that much yet, but we kind of texted for like an hour and a half straight and talked last night, so that's pretty good.

Um...what else. I don't sleep anymore. Like, ever. Seriously, I've been going to bed at an average time of 4 in the morning, getting up at either 8 or 10ish. Although, the other day I took my first nap when I wasn't sick since I was like four! I got up at 8, went to my FYS (poetry), then ate, hung out, and went to sociology and psych. After psych, I went back to meet Sammy and Gustavo in Sammy's room, where they were napping. Sammy offered me some room on her bed, but I mumbled, "The floor's closer.", spread out two of their bean baggy-tuffet things, and was asleep literally within the minute. We slept until...I wanna say 6ish? At which point we simply got up and ate. I was SO CONFUSED when I woke up, but it was glorious  Although we haven't all slept together since then, we are now big fans of the concept of GROUP NAPPING! and I anticipate much of it in my future.

Last night I didn't go to bed until 6 am, and I woke up at 2 when Kaya called me. I was really glad to hear from her, except that waking up brought some bad realizations upon me- namely, I'm either sick or dying of allergies. Emphasis on the dying part P:

But anyway, more interesting stuff. On Tuesday, I took Nick out for dinner, because it was the one year anniversary of the day he came out to me <3. We walked into town, and ate dinner at Romanelli's, which is where we ate the day that we came to visit Drew, and we missed the train because we were eating and then ran up to the wrong side of the tracks, so there were some memories there haha. It was really nice because it was the first time we've had a chance to talk alone since we moved in, and it was fun.

Um, what else....the other day, I decided in my brilliancy that I was going to make myself mac n' cheese, because I had discovered that the lounge in Welch/Holloway has a stove(ours does not). So I get all the stuff together for it, put it in a bag, and suddenly realize I have no butter. Milk, mix, noodles, pan, strainer, but NO EFFIN BUTTER! It was a horrible thing to realize P:

Anyway, in the meantime, I had texted Andrew, Jake, Nick, and Alvyn, to see which of my bois from Welch/Holloway wanted to come keep me company while I cooked and make me not feel awkward for using their stove haha. Nick was the only one who answered in the affirmative, and even after I told him that I couldn't find butter, he told me to come down, anyway. Amy and Brig came with me, but they left when I went back to my room to get a can opener for Nick to eat some spaghettio's, so we had a bit of a talk while he was eating those. So that was interesting.

Umm...what else. Yesterday Gustavo drove Sammy, Brigid, and I into town to go dress shopping for Sammy. He had to leave, so he just dropped us off, and now we're not going to see him until like Sunday, which is sad :frown: (he's a commuter). Anyway, we walked around town looking for a dress for her, but we didn't really find anything. After that, we went and got our nails done (only $10 for a manicure!) before coming back to the school.

We played never ever have I ever and Truth or truth for HOURS last night...it was really fun, and really enlightening. Most of us are pretty innocent, but I definitely found out some stuff I wasn't expecting about a couple people! It's all good, though. I love them for who they are, and because of their secrets, not in spite of them

I think the reason it's so hard for me to write about my days here is because we don't really DO all that much. And it's not like we're boring. For instance, one night we played True Colors for hours. Another time, Sammy, Gustavo, and I randomly went to Stop&Shop at like 10 o'clock, then came back and went outside to do a b&w photo shoot in the dark. So we do have these random, spontaneous things that we do sometimes, when we're looking for something to do.

The thing is, we're just very good at BEING with each other. We can sit around Sammy and Amy's room and chat, read, sew/crochet/knit (because Sammy and I are old ladies P:), use our computers, do our homework, and basically do NOTHING for literally hours at a time, without getting bored or feeling awkward or out of place. It's bizarre to think that two and a half weeks ago, I had no idea who any of these people were, with the possible exception of facebook. And yet, now we are capable of easily coexisting in such a laid-back manner that I find it hard to believe.
