EVP's caught on Ghost Hunters at Mount Washington Resort

, , ,

For anyone who watches this show and has an interest in the paranormal, you may have heard these evp's taken by lead investigators, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of The Atlantic Paranormal Society, (TAPS).
Personally, I think it’s the most interesting and possibly one of the most important evp’s ever recorded for the field of paranormal investigating. The fact that it was pretty clear isn’t much the point I don’t think, rather more the responses.
As Jason and Grant came in the room, they’re talking away and they get a clear female voice on their recorder saying "Hello? Is there someone there?", as if the spirit is just doing whatever it does in it’s own world and can hear these strange voices yet unable to see them. Later on the evp, after asking "Is anyone in here with us?", they get a response saying "Of course I’m in here, where are you?". Again by asking "where are you?", it seems the spirit can not see them. And the way it say’s "Of course I’m in here" as if like, "duh, I’m always here."

The reason I think these evp’s are so important is do to the fact that it helps further the study of a certain theory. Anybody ever seen The Others, a movie which is based off this theory. Basically we’ve got two dimensions going on here amongst many others. One in which we live in and another which they live. A certain ’after life’ dimension if you will.
Let’s say you live in a house haunted by a past resident named Max E. Padd. We’ll just call him Max for short... In our world you see your furniture, your tv, whatever, however, that’s not what Max sees in his world. Maybe he sees how he had it during his living years. His furniture and set up. Sometimes we wonder if spirits come and go. But maybe not always. Maybe, as in this case, Max is always there, but can’t always hear or see you and vice versa. But for whatever reason, do to maybe certain energy in the air, the two dimensions cross paths. Sometimes when they pass they can see you or just hear you like in Jason and Grants case, but we can’t see or hear them. Maybe we can and they don’t see or hear us. And maybe sometimes both.

If this theory is true, TAPS may have caught a nice piece of it, making the theory not as much as just a theory as it was before hand.

I watch Ghost Hunters every time I see it on. I find all of that stuff to be incredibly interesting...and somewhat addictive. I don't think I have the guts to actually be the hunter, myself, though. I admire those who aren't big wussies like I am. bigsmile "The Others" is one of my favorite movies, though...so that has to count for something! (or not..haha)

I watch Paranormal State a lot as well. There's also a show on the Travel Channel...but that one's so lame and fake that I can't even bring myself to watch it. rolleyes

The show depicts the students' investigations of paranormal activity and supernatural phenomena. The show is produced by Four Seasons Productions International and Go Go Luckey Productions (which produced MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County, and A&E's now-cancelled Rollergirls). Gary Auerbach and Julie Auerbach (who head Go Go Luckey Productions) and Betsy Schechter (Four Seasons) are the executive producers.

I remember the very first time I saw the show I felt kinda uneasy. The whole way he allegedly talks into the recorder and whatnot...it was corny as hell. Then Chip...ugh...the dude's a wing-nut. But then the more I watched it, the less suspect I became. I fed right into it. cry I'm one of "those" people! down

Ryan did seem a little too 'actor' to be genuine though. I have been stung by paranormal shows before, namely Most Haunted from the UK, its very much like Ghost Hunters but they have a psychic medium there. One thing I do like about GH is that they DO explain that what can be seen as paranormal activity may easily not be. But even then it's edited to decieve in some areas, like showing you a scare clip right before a break only to come back with a "Oh its only this" reveal, it being a bat or the wind. On saying that GH is more...I dunno, natural. They do admit to nothing happening if indeed nothing happens. Thats more of a reality show.

Right...I completely agree.

I hate it when they do the whole "Holy shit" clips prior to a commercial break. I always roll my eyes and say, "Did he see a spider again, or what?" rolleyes

Thanks again for the info! smile

The EVP in question is without doubt the best I ever heard with that said, however, with that said and assuming what was captured was genuine, the thing I do not understand about Ghost Hunters is WHY THEY DID NOT GO BACK TO THAT ROOM and record for an entire day and night. Knowing what was captured was so phenomenal they could have asked specific questions and allowed ample time for responses and done that an entire day and night. If what they did catch was genuine, and assuming "Princess" can hear you but not see you, the total response if they could have duplicated it would have been "ON EVERY NEWS PROGRAM IN THE COUNTRY" It would have been more proof or an good as as it gets for a starters. Let's face it, ultimately isn't this what they and others are these shows looking for other than making money.. That EVP would be great on the shoe Fact or Fake or the guy's from San Antonio. I personally found it amazing.
