My current future job plans...

, , , , , ,

I've always thought it was cool talking about future plans as a kid and as a teenager and that it'd be cool to have some sort of record so that when I'm an adult or possibly and old grumpy man with a massive beard and cane, I could look back and have some good 'ol memories flow back into what's left of my brain. So here I go! They are listed in random order. P:

Blizzard: I'd think it would be really cool to work for Blizzard in developing the UI, graphics, mechanics and the storyline for their Starcraft games. I have played Starcraft I (waiting for the release of II) and have really enjoyed it.

Square Enix: I really enjoyed playing their Final Fantasy games and watching Advent Children, so why not work for them in developing it? I'd like people to enjoy something I helped create. P: That'd be cool.

Opera Software: You gotta' admit that the Opera Web Browser and Opera Mini are pretty darned awesome products that you've ever seen and used in your life. I would want to be a part of something that makes peoples' lives easier. What a better way than to work for Opera Software?

Microsoft: Since my first encounter with a PC with Windows 98SE, I've been using Windows ever since. (With a few encounters with Linux and MacOSX.) I'd like to delve into this programming world (as if my other job interests already weren't developer related) and see how an operating system is built and works and how it can make the lives of people easier. On this note, I think working for the Zune team would be quite fun as well as they make it seem in their podcasts. P:

UPDATE: I wouldn't mind being a sushi chef or any other chef either. Cooking is fun. P: ...or even an architect! :sherlock:

As you can see, all of my future job plans have some type of developing and creativity implanted somewhere in them. So yeah, don't be surprised if you see me in the future working for one of these companies...or probably operating my own company! :eyes:

Bam!I can haz new PC?

Yeah, I have looked at job openings at Blizzard, mostly to see what kind of skills they require. One needs to know A LOT of programming, so now I am trying to learn C++ and others. :D

Best wishes and good luck my friend. :D :spock:

Thanks, and you too

Actually, my education is in Biomedical Engineering, and I am trying to switch the tracks to programming

I hope I will be able to do so successfully. :knight:

As the Blizzard logo was slowing loading from top to bottom with my Dial Up, it was looking like Buzzard. :yikes:

When I first read your mention of Blizzard, I thought maybe you were referring to the Dairy Queen Blizzards? Are you familiar with Dairy Queens and their Blizzards? It might be just a regional thing that exists over here and NOT in your area.

But, but ... but, won't having interest in both Opera and Microsoft be conflict of interest? You know ... Opera Browser and IE? :knight: :eyes:

A Sushi Architect ... I can envision it. You'll have your own Cooking Show on the Food Network. Here's what the premise will be. YOU will of course be the Head Chef / Gourmet Sushi Designer and Star of the Show. Tamil will be your Assistant. You two will constantly be bickering and taking shots at each other. But, somehow, despite that fabricated for TV Drama, you two will always create some Culinary Masterpiece by the end of each episode. And I'll be the Drama Concept Consultant for you two's bickering routines.

 Buzzard!

I tend to think of the Internet Explorer team as not part of Microsoft.

 Top Chef! Phite! monkey penguin :D
