We've never seen Kimmie's photo in that type of position before, and there's clearly been more than a little 'photoshopping' in order to create this work of art. (Kimmie would never willingly pose next to a total stranger, so digital image manipulation is the only viable explanation)
Your brain simply blocked out the possibility that it could be Kimmie because you know this.

So it had to create an alternative explanation to eliminate the cognitive dissonance that resulted.
So you see Flarin, there's no reason to be embarrassed.
