A little gift for myself (and my current wishlist)
Tuesday, November 16, 2010 4:44:19 PM
Well, first up I've managed to get myself these shoes I've been after. My posture and circulation suck, and I love Skechers, so I'm finally getting a pair of Shape Ups that we can't really afford right now
. It's these ones:
Now, these retail at £90 for a pair. I want you to guess how much I paid for them. They were ordered online and they're arriving tomorrow
.
On another note, you probably don't know that I read Cosmo every month. I also visit their website and they have this cool makeover tool. You can use it if you're registered with them. You upload your photo, scale it and then can choose from a selection of hair styles, colours and make up. I put Mojee in at one point, it was really funny. Anyway, I have dyed my hair pretty much every colour, and now I want my natural blonde back. To do that, I need to grow it and chop out the colour. So my once long purple-black hair is now short and a horrid colour. I did a quick little long-blonde makeover to see how it may look when grown long and natural, yet styled, and it looks cool:
Finally, Mik and I have started to compile gift lists for each other in our web browsers. He's got mine, I have his, and today I took the time to compile my wish-list so far, just to show you guys.

The items from left to right, top to bottom are thus:
Wallet
Toiletries
Ring
Cosmetic box
Porcelain tea for one
Cyanide and Happiness book
Chemise
Mug
Body Butter
Plate, bowl and cup
Noodle bowl
Facial moisturiser (best in the world and quite dear too)
Another Cyanide and Happiness book
Plasters for wounds
and finally a travel mug.
So, there you have it.
Oh, and I received some news I've been waiting for. Friends, Click Here.

As for Cosmo, is it where Mik grew his long hair?

I love all the Hello Kitty stuff on your list, especially the cosmetic box! I could use one of those too.

Gavin - it certainly does
Kitty - I loved my old dead Skechers, which were just normal shoes too. Bikers, I think. I don't care about the so-called "toning" of the Shape Ups but I'll let you know if they do anything they claim. Really hoping for posture improvements at the very least.
I'll tell you how much they cost tomorrow
Hello Kitty is so fucking cool. I thought the cosmetic box was the best of that lot too, I like the design. I have a cosmetic box but it's kinda old and horrible now. Oh! Need make-up too - did a spring clean of all the stuff I was "supposed to throw out having had it for so long and I'm left with like 5 things

There's a girl at work who wears shape ups too, but honestly, she doesn't have an ass to shape up.

My wishlist is far shorter - lol
I don't know about the hair - I'm "used to" you brownish/pinkish hair

I will post when my hair's back to normal - it's gonna be a long time though!

Love the "porcelain tea for one" too, I'm such a sucker for those and mugs lol. You know, I have a cosmetic box and it's sitting on top our drawers. I would put all my cosmetics in it, but somehow they always manage to escape and would be all over the drawers, all the time! so it ends up just being a box on top of the drawers

I tend to leave bits of makeup everywhere too

Oh... Have you got the shoes now? I've never tried Shape-Ups, I thought they'd be no different than my regular running/training/aerobics shoes, until I read some more of it and a while ago I saw the bum-heavy Reebok ads on telly, and I was drooling!
For the shoes that is

I've heard good things about those kind of shoes. Will be interesting to hear what you think.
