Christmas/Birthdaynesses.

Christmas
We got our very first tree! yes It's a mere 1 and a half feet tall, and decorated by me! bigsmile Here is a shitty photo!

Mama (Paternal Grandmother) Spoiled us as usual for presents; all the others under the little tree are from her, the others are stockings and extras we bought each other, so this is the loads we had to open on Christmas morn...

And here is all our collective loot! Mik did fantastically for me. Unfortunately due to my inability to go out alone, most of my stuff for Mik was from a cut-price supermarket (Mum accompanied me) but most was from Mum to us happy

The day itself was chilled. Dinner? Lush. Joyous.

We did OK for others' considering I'm still compiling your lots' gifts too, and both our birthdays, my papa's birthday and Mum's birthday all fall within 3 months! Momma was pleased, my sisters seemed pleased, the rest got little or nothing.

Good Day

, , ,

Well, apart from the restless night and the spider on the wall at 6 this morning scared .

Why was it awesome? I will tell you.

1. We went into the village with Mum today and I found a few things;
My favourite biscuits in a large, seasonal, cheap pack.
I also have just a mascara to my name right now, and found a 3 for 2 offer at Boots the chemist on all make up, so I managed to get a neutral eyeshadow duo, an eyeliner and a lipgloss for dirt cheap.
Then I bought a couple of Kinder Surprise, both of which were new toys. One's a dinosaur ans the other is a skiing girl thing.

2. Did you know that those two toys make my Kinder collection a big 302 toys?

3. Mum made us a roast chicken dinner, followed by cherry pie chef .

4. You may or may not know that I'm a member of a panel called Toluna. Basically, you sign up and take consumer surveys on a variety of subjects. It's not an easy process - you are invited to surveys that often, you're not eligible for, and it's also not uncommon to screen out of a survey after spending half and hour on it. You're awarded roughly 1,000 to 10,000 points per survey (mostly between 1,000 and 3,000) and when you've finally got 80,000 points (and when they get around to giving you those points) you can order vouchers for £15. I choose Amazon ones. Then, of course, is the wait for the voucher to be given to you.
Anyway, as of this morning they owed me an impressive £60 of vouchers having processed one of the original five a few days ago. I logged in at Mum's to find they'd processed another two, giving me enough for some chargeable batteries for the Xbox 360 and also a hoodie I've been dying for for ages but would never spend cash on. It's this: and I really am in love with it.
I have spent tedious hour after frustrating hour - days worth - doing these surveys whenever I can, and it feel really good to "earn" it.
Toluna's a bit of a pain with the screening out, waiting for rewards and such, but it's worth it. Plus, sometimes you get to test small products, and not just the ones on their product test page.

5. I got to vacuum up Mum's house today. Her Hoover is really, really powerful - I have to get all my weight behind the thing to get it to move along the carpet. Having three cats, the place gets covered in hair lol . While vacuuming in itself isn't particularly pleasant, helping Mum is. I also shampooed and scrubbed the cream coloured parts of the giant rug in the lounge room there to get rid of the grubby bits. It felt good!

6. The First Fable 3 missions DLC came out today, which is pretty cool. I'm not fussed right now, but Mik's super into it and he's really chuffed.

Now, I'm really tired. I've not been my best for nerves and stuff lately and big emotions really take it out of me. I'm off to get myself a cup of green tea with lemon and snuggle under a blanket for a while. I hope you guys are having/had a good day too. bigsmile

A little gift for myself (and my current wishlist)

, ,

Well, first up I've managed to get myself these shoes I've been after. My posture and circulation suck, and I love Skechers, so I'm finally getting a pair of Shape Ups that we can't really afford right now p . It's these ones:

Now, these retail at £90 for a pair. I want you to guess how much I paid for them. They were ordered online and they're arriving tomorrow yes .

On another note, you probably don't know that I read Cosmo every month. I also visit their website and they have this cool makeover tool. You can use it if you're registered with them. You upload your photo, scale it and then can choose from a selection of hair styles, colours and make up. I put Mojee in at one point, it was really funny. Anyway, I have dyed my hair pretty much every colour, and now I want my natural blonde back. To do that, I need to grow it and chop out the colour. So my once long purple-black hair is now short and a horrid colour. I did a quick little long-blonde makeover to see how it may look when grown long and natural, yet styled, and it looks cool:

Finally, Mik and I have started to compile gift lists for each other in our web browsers. He's got mine, I have his, and today I took the time to compile my wish-list so far, just to show you guys.

The items from left to right, top to bottom are thus:
Wallet
Toiletries
Ring
Cosmetic box
Porcelain tea for one
Cyanide and Happiness book
Chemise
Mug
Body Butter
Plate, bowl and cup
Noodle bowl
Facial moisturiser (best in the world and quite dear too)
Another Cyanide and Happiness book
Plasters for wounds
and finally a travel mug.

So, there you have it.
Oh, and I received some news I've been waiting for. Friends, Click Here.

Things and Stuff and Stuff and... Er... Yeah.

, ,

Okay, so I suck at blog post titles. Boo freakin' hoo, I can never wrap up a post neatly either.
Anyway, on to... THINGS!

Things: Whisk has been attacked by some cat again, he's got a circular hole in his chest today apparently. irked It's his own stupid fault probably, he's a really big cat and is eternally bugging Suke and Mog, so he's most likely the instigator. That said, whatever attacked and ultimately killed Poppy was another animal too, but she was really young and very small. Still, Whisk will be fine. He's been through worse.

My Dad's £700+ custom-built gaming PC broke eek he doesn't seem too fussed and is giving us his RAM cards from it, which I appreciate very much... I just hope he can do something with the other £630 of hardware that's useless to him now.

Still waiting for stuff. There'll be an update when it arrives in the form of a F.O.P - I rang someone involved today and was assured I'd get what I'm waiting for next week sometime.

My eyes are killing me. I've been staring at the computer for perhaps a third of the day doing important stuff. Which leads to... STUFF!!

Stuff: I found a rather odd hoodie today. I like the actual hood part - I've taken to being in hoodies a lot this winter, even when sleeping I'm usually in one with the hood pulled up over my head. Anyway, it's this:

On that note, I've managed to work our finances in such a way that we'll be able to afford half of Christmas gifts and also a small budget for Mik's birthday this year. My original figures showed it unlikely we'd be able to afford anything, but we've been doing really well. Mik and I have been together for 8 years now, and he's never really had a birthday. I mean, on mine, I always had something special, but something always went wrong for his. So... Fingers crossed. I've done well on the budget I could afford, and hopefully they'll all be delivered before the end of next business week yes . I got quite a lot of stuff for my money, which brings us to... Have you guessed it yet? No? Wanna hint at all?
...STUFF!!!

Stuff: Well, actually, I can't think of any more stuff left which is pretty much a good segue into... Er... Yeah.

So...
...yeah.

INTERNETS!!!!!!!

(Music Video: Fashion Victim by Green Day)
Link for phonies!

That's right - Kimmie gots broadbands. That means I'll mostly be on the 'pute now, so there'll be plenty of spelling mistakes without the safety net of predictive text rolleyes .

Um... Oh! Clothes :drools: and stuff. I've got a wishlist now. Wanna see?
...No?
Think I'm gonna show you anyway?
*nods slowly*

First up, this:

Then, this:

And these:

Oh oh, and I gotted a pretty, girly night wear thingy. It was a total bargain - and they sent an extra one! it's this:

Anyway, 'nough about that. Last week was a busy one.
I went to the doctor last week, for the first time since I got ill last year. That was an achievement. Then, to the supermarket where it all went wrong last year - and back again the next day.
There'll be more on what gave me that metaphorical kick up the bum in a FOP in a week or three.

Things're going pretty well for now - it's about time. Well, that's my first post from my own 'pute.
We're up at 6am tomorrow and it's almost time for my meds, so I'll see you 'orrible lot laters. wink

LOVES!!! But only to some of you. So there. p

'Night, fuckers. love

Want It, Gonna Have It

WANT! Of The Month

, ,

We are greedy creatures. We seek happiness through many materialistic forms - some opt for attire, some prefer media, others beauty products, gadgets, food... You name it, someone gets way too happy from it. Sometimes the type of thing we've been lusting over can change, depending on our mood, our requirements, or even... The month. (Hyuk, hyuk)

October's WANT!

I know what you're thinking.
It's not a toy.
No, it's not a game.
It's a remote control! happy .
Fully programmable via infrared, you can "teach" up to 9 commands from your existing remotes into set kinetic actions - swish away to your heart's content and all that.
Thing is, it costs £50, so it could well be just a WANT! for a very, very long time.
Probably take a long time to remember what motion you programmed for each command too, but...

Seriously, it's fucking cool.
