You may or may not know my history with birthdays. Suffice to say, for the past 24 of them, about 3 went ok

I have had bad luck with birthdays, but yesterday was my 25th, and it was great!

I've mashed together a quick collage of the gifts I could find images for (I can't be arsed to charge my camera) and I do know it's a really shoddy mishmash, but sod it

Mmmkay, so the amethyst pendant in the top left was a small gift from my Dad. He also brought us a huge RAM upgrade for the 'pute when we saw him, so our PC is running much faster.
That pink box below that is a Cath Kidston tioletry set. It itself it is not that spectacular, but you see, Mum has some boxes a lot like this made of cardboard, and she has had them for as long as I can remember. We call them her "treasure boxes" - a name I gave them as a child because they contained what I thought to be her life treasures. Jewellery, trinkets, seashells from the beach... All memories. Treasures. Now I have my own.

She also gave me the After Eight chocolates and the Green & Blacks chocolate you'll see in the picture. What is not there is the hand-knitted sweater she made me in sparkly black.
The rest is from Mik - We got that gorgeous wool coat at ASDA today, I tried it on and from Mum's reaction it was a pretty good fit. I must say, having looked in the mirror, I agreed. The underwear set, the tye-dyed halterneck maxi dress and the grey cardigan were ordered a few days ago - and as luck would have it, when we returned from Mum's this afternoon, I hadn't even begun to take my coat off when the buzzer rang and a courier handed over my gifts. Lucky, huh?

not to mention that when trying everything on, it all fit really well.
The Tigger girl shorts and the black rose print dress are on the way, and the boots you'll see in the bottom left also. They'll turn up in a bit

Oh, and also not pictured are some long flannel heart-print pyjamas. I get so cold
So, yeah, we were up really early after less than 4 hours sleep to meet Mum at ASDA for a trip - which I did real well with, considering my still present agoraphobia and the amount of people around. Then into the village, where we pottered around a little, and finally back to Mum's where I was fed cake, pizza and she even baked me my favourite sweet she makes. It's a pastry base with a fine layer of jam, with eggs, coconut and a little sugar mixed together and poured over the top, baked in the oven. Mog was in a good mood too, so I pestered her all day. She loves me

she spent a large portion of the day rubbing faces with me
Home, and parcels arrived as stated, then I took a little nap. Then bacon sandwich, banana split and a rented film - Inception.
By the way? Fucking fantastic. No kidding.
So, yeah. Spoiled, overfed, joyous, clothed and entertained.
Oh, and loved.
Thanks to everyone, all who wished me well for the day, those who PM'd me personal wishes, those who spoiled me rotten, and especially Mik, who went all out for the day and waited on me hand and foot. Well, he tried.
I'm off now to try and get me some lovings

Thankoo
