More Boring Life Crap

, , ,

I write this not to entertain, but to post something I don't need to put loads of effort into lol .

Christmas Update -
Savings plan finalised, presents and food budgeted, purchases firmly scheduled.
This book for my dad is going to be ordered tomorrow (all things permitting, I gotta ask a favour of someone.)
Did some window shopping... Figured out exactly what to get my Ex-Stepmother, my stepmother and my littlest sibling.
Teamed funds with my father so we can both chip in for a particular new phone for my second littlest sister, (me paying but a small fraction, and I'll make sure she knows it.)

Social Life (or lack thereof) Update -
Tomorrow I visit my Gran for the day, teach her how to make lemon muffins, and we gotta do an insane expensive food shop to restock the freezer. I was supposed to get my rowing machine, it's been pushed to next year.

Personal Update -
I'm cranky, depressed, broken up with pockets of manic emotion. I'm also worried about Christmas. Mostly money. And I'm bothered about my birthday - people tend to not bother with me because, excuse me, I was born at an inconvenient date. NO MORE "you can have this present as both your Christmas and your birthday present in one" crap! You don't have to spend more money on a seperate birthday gift like you will for everyone else, just give me the same value everyone else gets just for their Christmas and use it to buy me something I can halve so I have something to open on my birthday. Please? At least remember the card.

Birthday Update -
No plans, thank you. I'm either gonna spend the day in pyjamas, hiding under the cover, or I'm gonna booze my ass off until I can't feel feelings anymore, or I'm gonna spend the day shopping and doing fun stuff with Mik. NO PARTIES! NO! And I wanna birthday cake. A Spongebob one! I WANNA SPONGEBOB BIRTHDAY!!!

Bloggy stuff Update -
I'm gonna have someone to introduce soon (no I'm not pregnant, go to hell) and I got a dudey freebie on its way to me because I'm a chosen one.

NOW PISS OFF!
love

I'm gonna have someone to introduce soon

Either the someone is the dragon in all his resplendent glory... or maybe it's a cat. left
Whoever it is, I can't wait to meet them, I hope. bigsmile

If it's any consolation, at least you don't have to put up with the "It's a card/present for both of you" that seems to be a mandatory part of being a twin. Receiving such a gift is probably the only time we join forces and rage against whoever made the faux pas. Then we set about squabbling and trying to prove

It was meant for you because...
it's blue (or orange, depending on context)
your name is first (quite a major point actually - the other was obviously an afterthought left)
<insert tenuous argument here>

lol

Personally, I'd go with the last potential birthday schedule, although staying in bed sounds like a good idea as well. yes

Cleanclean Monday, September 29, 2008 5:39:24 PM

When is your birthday ... ?

Stomyr Monday, September 29, 2008 5:40:11 PM

First I thought you are pregnant - LOL - sowwi
(My mind is in another planet today - LOL)

Can't wait to find it out sherlock

Spaggyj Monday, September 29, 2008 5:44:31 PM

Well I've done no work on my dragon since you saw him... And I can't have a pet here, it's forbidden...

Sharing a gift? With a sibling? Pooey. That must be horrible! It's ok if it's with your significant other, because you tend to share all things anyway.

I will probably choose option 3 for my birthday, depends on crowds and how well I feel. Option 2 will be occurring somewhat, probably, as will option 1, sans the hiding part. Probably I shall shop, drink, then have a pretend mardy fit in the evening. And cake! I want cake.

Spaggyj Monday, September 29, 2008 5:46:26 PM

David - December 30th. Most people forget and get the wrong day lol .

Stomyr - Oh hell no. I dunno what the hell I'd do. (Won't discuss it here, suffice to say it'd be bad.) you'll find out tomorrow or the next day p

Moesring Monday, September 29, 2008 5:47:45 PM

Sharing a gift? With a sibling?

It hasn't happened in quite a while. Being on the receiving end of two simultaneous tirades is enough to make people change their ways. yes

Besides, didn't you read that we then start trying to refuse ownership of said gift - often right in front of whoever supplied the gift? Usually one of us will back down and accept it, but in the case of really thoughtless gifts, it is simply ungratefully discarded. A clear lesson not to take shortcuts where twins' presents are concerned. bigsmile

Is it Mr Gimmicky Potato Peeler that you're going to show us? bigsmile

Stomyr Monday, September 29, 2008 5:55:27 PM

bigsmile sherlock smile

Attila attilasoul Monday, September 29, 2008 6:01:54 PM

I got a dudey freebie on its way to me

What does that mean? confused

Can't wait to meet... someone... I think. I hope it'll be a nice surprise! lol

Spaggyj Monday, September 29, 2008 6:12:45 PM

Moe - You said simply you joined forces to rage against the offender. I didn't realise that you'd ended it. Sorry. And no, not the peeler p .

Tils - it means I'm being sent freebies bigsmile . I'll post about it when they arrive x you'll meet the other thing, the being I'm shortly going to introduce to you, very soon yes

Attila attilasoul Monday, September 29, 2008 6:17:11 PM

Ah, freebies are good, especially the nice ones! up
I hope the introduction to "the thing" (confused) will be tomorrow! yes

Moesring Monday, September 29, 2008 6:17:13 PM

No worries, I probably added the later part in one of my edits - one of the many things for which I am infamous. yes

I'm running out of ideas if I've not got it right yet. down

Dark FurieFurie Monday, September 29, 2008 6:24:59 PM

Dudey - means cool. Taken from the latin Coolus Dudivus Fonzerellicus.

A freebie is something you don't pay for. The t-shirts we win here are freebies for example.

Attila attilasoul Monday, September 29, 2008 6:33:16 PM

Coolus Dudivus Fonzerellicus - That's so cool! up

Thanks for the explanation, now I learned something new again today! smile

Bad WolfCois Monday, September 29, 2008 9:08:16 PM

I can't add anything here.. p curious to meeting the new little Mik.. bigsmile. I'm totally broke this year so none of my family expects anything from me knockout not that I give the greatest gifts left

Spaggyj Monday, September 29, 2008 9:13:44 PM

Thing should be introduced tomorrow. Depends when I get home and how well I'll feel. Wednesday for sure.

Clint... So funny... NOT PREGNANT, ASSHOLE!! The thing is, I told my family in no uncertain terms this year, that from now on, Christmas will be small inexpensive presents, and birthdays will be the big gift from me and Mik. I told them! But nooo, I'm asked for stuff in the region of twenty five quid each. Never mind I'm spending double that on birthdays because it's more personal, plus it's broken up and not like ten people at once. I guess they forgot.. Well I ain't even got a bloody kitchen bin yet, but that's gonna have to wait until next year. I'm a bit pissed off about it to be quite honest. We only just moved in, I've got loads of financial duties! Aaargh!

Bad WolfCois Monday, September 29, 2008 9:36:15 PM

I didn't say anything about pregnancy.. whistle we all know little Furies are hatched.. left

Darkogdare Monday, September 29, 2008 9:41:15 PM

I am sure Miklush (what was that funny name???) will make you a Spongebob cake surprise. Even if he will have to bake it by himself scared

Dark FurieFurie Monday, September 29, 2008 11:21:35 PM

Why make one when ASDA do them so cheaply? I'm getting my birthday present in January. happy

theoddbod Monday, September 29, 2008 11:45:08 PM

Is it an electronic gizmo that's vaguely intelligent/autonomous? An Aibo or something? sherlock

I'm not even thinking about Christmas yet p. It's usually pretty dull, unless Santa eats another reindeer left

Pineas Tuesday, September 30, 2008 7:06:11 AM

"I am sure Miklush... will make you a Spongebob"... for a moment I connected that half-sentence to the idea of pregnancy.

Dacotah Tuesday, September 30, 2008 4:49:39 PM

Spongebob Squarepants.... up lol

dɹɐzılpǝkɔıw ɐʞɐ ɹǝɥgɐllɐg lǝbɐsıwickedlizard Wednesday, October 1, 2008 10:26:28 AM

You should buy what you can afford. It~s the thought that counts. In fact, why not just make them all stuff. You make jewelry, bake stuff, make some blank books, or albums to put photos... in the UK you got such nice craft stores...

Albums are easy... some nice really hard cardboard, holes punched... cover the album with cloth you like, or maybe do some decoupage type scrap work on top... put some different colored pages in, and put some re openable rings into the holes... maybe put a photo of yourself and mik and there~s a nice gift....

Pineas Wednesday, October 1, 2008 10:38:56 AM

I made my wife some years ago a cook book.

She hated it.

Attila attilasoul Wednesday, October 1, 2008 3:21:54 PM

Because all the pages were blank? left

Dark FurieFurie Wednesday, October 1, 2008 3:51:31 PM

Probably took it as an insult. A cookbook gift is up there with cleaning products as a sure way to sleep on the sofa. lol You made it? Cool. I wanna make a book. All your own recipes?

Attila attilasoul Wednesday, October 1, 2008 5:37:13 PM

I want to make a cook book too! awww

Darkogdare Wednesday, October 1, 2008 8:20:36 PM

She hated it.

Maybe it was window opened in the kitchen and wind turned pages. No matter how she tried she could not make a decent meal p

Dark FurieFurie Wednesday, October 1, 2008 8:32:13 PM

Make one then Tils. Once we're online via PC I'm going to publish my book. There's plenty of places to do it for free. bigsmile

r♡serose-marie Wednesday, October 1, 2008 9:30:04 PM

You're spending your birthday here with us, missy! mad

I'm so curious about the "thing" that I have to move on to the next post now bigsmile.

Pineas Thursday, October 2, 2008 6:25:02 AM

She collects cook books. And I made it with receipts from a cooking show she watched every evening, with cliparts etc.

Darkogdare Thursday, October 2, 2008 8:07:32 AM

Pineas Thursday, October 2, 2008 9:07:47 AM

Ready Steady Cook

Any idea of a naked Jamie Oliver create only an interest in sausages for meal.

Dark FurieFurie Thursday, October 2, 2008 10:50:31 AM

LMAO!

Darkogdare Thursday, October 2, 2008 1:11:23 PM

lol

Spaggyj Thursday, October 2, 2008 3:26:16 PM
