Living large... Well, probably not that large... :p

Buying!

I'm finally ordering my supplies! :D
I spent almost all day yesterday getting stuff in and out of my shopping cart... It's insane... there are sooo many things I want... But I need to lower what I have there... cos even though i know my mom would pay for it... it's too much... way too much!
The only advantage is that I won't need to buy ANYTHING from my suppliers here... And that is just great! :D last time I made an order and ended up buying stuff from Fire Mountain and some stuff from a couple of stores... Silly, I know! but I've made my numbers quite thoughtfully this time.... I know what I need, what I don't... and what I want... and I think the I want part is what's killing me... I want a handbag they have, and a few charms that are just too cute to pass... Oh, and weird ring... :D
Sigh, I need to win the lotto! P:

Blog Addict

I found this funny test on Sarah's blog... And i'm apparently more addicted to blogging than her... I dunno why... cos she blogs more than me... P: 75%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?

Mingle2 - Online Dating

My best friend received a Robbie Williams CD, it's mine but I used his address... It should have get there ages ago... he showed me the packages on webcam... they were full of stamps... Yes, the packages! As I got two... The one I bought, but I never got, and the one the seller sent me after I emailed him cos I never received the one I bought... I guess I should send it back.... Apart from that, there's no much to tell.... Been home quite bored all day long... I talked on Skype for a very long time with a certain someone...been planning what i'll be making for my Shops on Craftster's Shop the Swap and Shop the Swap Supplies Only for next month... And at the moment I'm watching Silent Hill by the hundreth time..... not that i'm a really big fan... but every time is on, I have to see it... silly, I know.... Ohhhhh, and I'll be getting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!!!! :D On special edition :D I dunno what's so special of the special edition... but I'll find out... Have to go... Quickie!

:o: :o: No, you dark minds! Not that kind of quickie!!!
Just a quick post to let you know that I'm still alive...and to give the latest updates on me... (god, soooo self-centered!!! P: )

:domo::domo::domo::domo::domo: (don't you think it's cute?!) I'm loving it!

Ok, life, right?!

Still no mail! Damn ain't that annoying... I must have the worst postal service in the world...I'm dying to receive all the things that I have on my way.... It's like waiting for your bday when it's still a month away... in my case, it's more of an unknown date... I demand mail!!! Everytime I hear a motorcycle I jump to my window... to see if it's here... nothing yet...

Oh, I'm getting a new phone!!! I'm soooo happy! It's not even close to the phone that I wanted, but it has no antenna, sooooo that it's just perfect... all my cellphones have died that way (I know all sounds a bit excesive, but after counting yesterday the truth is that... Yes, I'm Alejandra and I'm a Mobile-aholic...:o: :o: :o: :o:)
Besides, free decent phones are always accepted... :D

And now the most important piece of information of the day.... I only owe $10 of my computer debt!!!!!!!!!! I'm finally free of it... I'll be paying that during the weekend and will finally be free of debt, till probably sunday, where the most perfect thing is going to happen!!!
I'm gonna buy supplies for my business!!!!!!
:hat: :drunk:    :drunk: :hat: :jester:
Can you believe that I'm actually happy cos I'm getting in debt again?!?!? Something must be wrong with me.... But I can't help it... I'm extremely excited... and the good thing is that HONDUCOR (My post office....) will have nothing to do with it... cos Fire Mountain ships through FEDEX sooooo I will get my things within one week... :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Oh, on other news, less overreacted... I will be writing about Craft Tutorials and Craft related stuff on Craft Tutorials maybe a thousand years on journalism start paying off... (although, what does journalism have to do with everything... I think I'm high on pre-shopping drugs)

Ok, leaving... it turned out to be a bit more than a quickie...I will post a pic of the cute little mouse i made yesterday... I have sooo much work to do the next few months... but that I will tell you later...

Ale

Pain! and boredom, and a postal issue...

Yes, I'm in pain... the usual monthly pain I always get (yes, my period, don't tell anyone... P: ) but it's always annoying, even if it's been there for 11 years.
I've been terribly bored, there's nothing to do around here... So, I think I'll force myself to read tomorrow... after the dissapointment that turned out to be Honduras at the Gold Cup, there's nothing to cheer us up around here... P:
On the postal issues...well, sending mail is expensive, and I'm poor... P: I sent stuff for my swap partners and other stuff, at the end I had to retain something I was supposed to send, cos I didn't want to ran out of money so soon in the week... but I think I'll be shipping it soon...
I'm falling asleep... So I'm gonna go to bed guys...
Be good...

P.S. I forgot to comment about it... but I won a CD on the Heroes and Zeros contest, here on MyOpera community :D I never thought I'd win anything here P: I'm excited... I love to receive mail...It's the coolest thing ever... :D

Jewelry and Soccer....

This is the last thing I'm going to do, before I submerge myself in beads.... P:
Yeah right! I wish I had enough beads to do that...
But yes, I'm going to make some jewelry... as much as I can with my pretty small amount of wire... Will let you know how it went... .

I planned to go to the post office today, but I don't think I will, the weather here is sooooo umpredictable, about twenty minutes ago was pretty sunny, and right now is windy and I hear some rain related noises (thunders.... P:), so I don't think I'm going anywhere...

Oh, on a long forgotten subject... Honduras rules!!!!! (the subject is soccer, not my country... P:) We won yesterday and sunday on the Gold Cup! How good are we?! That won't.... ***Lightning yay!!!!*** .... take us to a world cup, but sure is good!!!! specially after winning the Honduras-Mexico match!!!!!!!!!! :D I bet Hugo Sanchez hates us deeply... and Blanco too! Watch the video, and see what a kiss can do...

I know our player was extremely annoying, but it's ridiculous to jeopardize a game for something like that... after so many years playing, to be expelled for an action like this, really feels quite childish of him... you just learn to ignore it... ppl will always try to make you explode to get what they want... on the field or in day to day life....

Must go... I have the feeling the lightning will kill something here, and I don't want it to be my computer... so bye guys...
Be good!

Knitting

Well, I've been quite busy knitting lately...I found this very cute hat pattern and just had to make it... It turned out great...I'm loving it...and considering making many...

Ain't it cute?

It took me like a day, but before that I was stuck with some socks I tried to make, I have to fix one anyway... but they look cute... not on me, cos I have gigantic feet P: but look nice on my mom...

Oh, and must not forget the never ending scarf I made for my brother... that curls, so I must fix it tomorrow...

With all this knitting I haven't been able to read... which i kinda hate... But the damned knitting has me quite obsessed... I finish one thing and I want to start another desperately... And I have to start making some jewelry soon, my aunt wants me to take some stuff to her major degree classes, where they would pay really good money....but I'm like I said... obsessed...
Is there a 12 step program or something... I needed...
Apart from that life is dull... I have absolutely nothing to do... no school, no nothing...therefore extremely bored...

Up and running at last!

I finally got my wireless connection to work... I had to take my computer to the company where I bought it, cos I didn't want to lose the warranty... and at last it's working...
Apparently the whole moving thing kinda moved the wireless card... and it got unplugged...
I'm almost set... well, already set... just a box hidden under my desk, cos I don't want to take it downstairs... it's too heavy... P: or that's what I've been telling myself...
I've been quite busy knitting... I finally ended my brother's scarf and I plan to finish my mom socks tomorrow (yes, I've been making socks... cheating, but they are still socks..... if they look like socks, and are worn like socks, and feel like decent socks... they must be socks! P:)
Oh, and yesterday I spent most of my afternoon setting some things for my second swap on Craftster... It's a Shop the Swap thing... you have points and you exchange your points for "merchandise", in this case crafting supplies, from ppl's stores... you "buy" things... I got a book I really wanted... well, one of them...I'll be getting it soon... And I sold my first item today.... some wood beads from my always big, cheap bead stash...

Uhhhhh, talking of stash... I discovered yesterday that I own quite a huge yarn stash... The day before moving I went shopping... and got two dozens of yarn skeins... tiny ones... but I really like them...it's the most decent yarn I found in the old city...
With the moving I had to put all of my crafty things in one place... or well, a couple of places... so I could know where they were... so I put all my yarn in just one box... it turns out that I have lots of different brands, that I got from my grandma's house... huge ones in comparison with the ones I can get here.... so now the whole box is full and I still have a few on a bag on top of it... And I have no idea what to do with it... I'm gonna have to be very creative... and knowing that I will have two months of free time, I'll probably knit lots...

Ok guys, MUST leave... Will write soon...
Be good! I know I am (at last!)

Moving again

Just a little post to let you know why I'm not posting much...
Yes, I'm moving AGAIN!!! Life is a mess right now... and we are moving back to my old city... we are just waiting for my school to end, and for my car, that's currently at the garage, getting new doors(yeah, two doors died... awfully! Thanx God they died, and not us....), and painting them, cos they were red, and my car is blue... P:
So, if you remember the pics I post when i moved, well, that's kinda like my room looks like at the moment, well, not that bad... but my couch is a mess, with clothes and my knitting and jewelry things... and a bunch of clothes...
I haven't been able to finish packing cos we only have small boxes, and I need a few big boxes, I had to pack all my books in tiny boxes and now I have like 7 boxes with books.... annoying! oh, but I discovered that I now have 230 books, plus the sadly borrowed ones... and the ones, my grandma takes and never finish reading cos she forgets...
Ok guys, I have to go, my dad is around, and God, is he annoying!?

Post office!

I got a ticket from the post office on monday, but since I had just got out of the hospital (yes, I had to spend a night there) and I didn't have a car, I had to wait till my dad felt like taking me to the post office....
I went to school today, but there was a tiny mess there, ppl had taken over the buildings cos apparently the school won't be giving classes for the med degree, so the ppl are upset...
So, my dad took me to run some errands with my brothers... and took me to the post office cos he's good... :D
They almost didn't give me my packages, cos I lost my id card...and my driver's license is at the transit office, cos of the accident and I'll be getting it until tomorrow, after a class that I have to attend...
After much begging and nearly swearing that I was me, the lady gave me my things... on of them was an already forgotten book that someone from bookcrossing sent me... :D Great! cos I already read the first part, and like three weeks ago got the last book, but couldn't read it cos I'm in the middle of the second book, but I was reading it on my Ipod, but it's annoying and has tiny tiny prints... so now I can read it like a normal human being, though I think I'll listen to the first book (yes, I have the audio book on my ipod P: but I read it on paperback first and then got the audiobook) to refresh the whole story... so I won't lose the track of the whole story...which is huge...
Ummmmm, I guess I should tell you what books I'm talking about... P:
The one I got is Lasher by Anne Rice... I've read the whole Vampire Chronicles and last year I finally got the first book of the Lives of the Mayfair Witches... and I really had to read it... cos in the last couple of books of the Chronicles the stories get together... but I couldn't get Lasher here, for some unknown reason...But my lovely bookcrossers have sent me all the books, I really feel like I need to start sending books out.... cos it's not fair to be receiving so many books and not sending... though I think I'll do a couple of "Wild" releases, cos I'm quite broke at the moment...
The other package was from a swap I got involved for my birthday... it took ages but I finally got it... :D I'm so excited, it was a couple of bulky yarn skeins... :D and three different fabrics... :D Oh and a quite funny letter... P:
I love receiving stuff in the mail, even if it's something small.... it's like a birthday present any time of the year :D ... and I love receiving yarn, cos I can't get it here... I've only found one place in my whole country where they sell decent yarn, cos the only other yarn I can get is tiny skeins of a very bad quality... so anything from outside is perfect! :D
I'm so excited... :D I have to read lots... and to find some nice pattern to use the yarn... I'll post pics of the stuff I got later, I have to post pics of the yarn and fabric on the swap topic anyway.... P:
For now, bye!

Bookcrossing!

Ok, it's time to spread the word! P:
I love bookcrossing, it's one of the coolest places in the net... I've read so many books thanks to them and the ppl that are kind enough to send me books from their bookshelves, even if I barely or never realease... due to poverty not meanness... P:

BookCrossing is defined as "the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise". The term is derived from bookcrossing.com, a free online book club which began and encouraged the practice.

There are also short hand terms for BookCrossing which are: BC, BCing, or BXing. A person who engages in BookCrossing is called a BookCrosser.

BookCrossing.com has over 500,000 registered members, with its stated goal being to "make the whole world a library". One of the main ways the project has been funded is by member donations, though funding has also come from the online BookCrossing supply store and advertisements for a number of book-related websites on BookCrossing.com.

The idea was conceived by a partner of Humankind Systems, Inc., Ron Hornbaker in March 2001 [1]. About four weeks later, on April 17, the idea was brought to life with the launch of the website. Since then it has grown into a global movement; by April 2003 the website had over 113,000 members, and in 2004 the Concise Oxford Dictionary began to include the word "bookcrossing", as defined above.

Anyone who wishes to participate in "releasing" books must register on the BookCrossing.com website (to "catch" a book users have the option to remain anonymous). Once registered, a member is able to participate in a number of ways:

Releasing
To "release" a book means that a member will pass the book on to a friend or fellow member or leave the book in a public place for anyone passing by to find. Leaving a book in a public place like this is known in the BookCrossing community as leaving a book in "the wild".

Before "releasing" a book it must be registered on the website. Registration produces a unique identification number called the "BookCrossing ID" or "BCID" which allows the book's movement to be tracked. The member must then mark the book with the "BookCrossing ID" and BookCrossing website URL so that the finder is able to make a journal entry for the book and enter his/her location on the website.

BookCrossing also provides "bookplates" with information about BookCrossing that can be printed out or purchased from the online supply store. These "bookplates" are then marked with the BCID and affixed (usually inside the front cover) to the book.

Finally, the member "releases" the book in any one of the ways talked about above.

Catching

...where they are then "caught" by members of the public."Catching" can only be done with books that have been registered on the BookCrossing website. To "catch" a book, the BCID marked on the book must be entered at BookCrossing.com. A book can be "caught" in "the wild", traded, or merely received as a gift. You do not need to be a member of the website to "catch" a book.

After entering the BCID, the person is able to enter their location (Country, State and City). Anyone wishing to remain anonymous has the option to leave their location blank. They will still be allowed to make a journal entry about the finding of the book and anything else they wish to add.

Once the member is finished reading the book, they are encouraged write a journal entry about the book or their experiences with it, and "re-release" the book so that the process can be continued and other people are able to enjoy the book.

BookCrossing.com users can 'go hunting', where a member will go to the website to view a list of books that have recently been "released", then go to the location it was left to "catch" it.

I love Bookcrossing... I can't deny it, and I thank every fellow bookcrosser that has sent me a book... I love the whole concept, what a better way to spread the love for books and to make of the world a gigantic library than this...

Now u guys, go check it out... look around, realease a book or two...
