Living large... Well, probably not that large... :p

How much would you pay for Radiohead?

Ok, I have to confess it, I'm not a huge gigantic fan of Radiohead, but the whole "It's up to you" pricing policy on the brand new Radiohead album, "In Rainbows", really attracted me...
It was more curiosity than anything else, that brought me to "buy it", and I won't lie, I didn't pay anything... And now I'm feeling guilty... P:
I'm not a converted Radiohead fan yet, but the sound is interesting... and the so-called-crowdpleaser song "Jigsaw falling into place" has really pleased me...
After a bit of a mess with the download (completely my fault), I was finally able to download the album yesterday at noon, and inmediately uploaded it to my Ipod(brand new, and sooo pretty...but that's another story). I listened to the album on my way to school, and must tell you, the first song "15 step" did put me off a bit... it felt really gloomy for my taste... but after a while you get used to it P: I'm really gonna give it a chance, and listen to it more attentively... It's been ages since I gave new music a chance (Ok, Radiohead is not new music perse but definetively a new sound for me. Btw, Creep Rules!!!!)

The worldwide reaction to Radiohead's action has been quite interesting to observe, as I've been doing quite a lot observation around it lately... mostly it has been a good one, except probably for the music industry itself, that must be hating them quite badly... In my country, so far, the event has gone unnoticed, though I do know people who really like Radiohead, they have gone missing cause whoever I tell just says "oh", except one friend that asked me to find out how much the newest album would cost, not really remembering the situation... I even posted a topic on the forum I moderate and added links in case they showed some interest and no one did... I even tried to get a decent, intelligent discussion out of it,pointing out how the release of the album occurs a week after a woman was sentenced to pay $220,000 for downloading music, guess what i got... 1 silly comment about how the $220k weren't going to be paid to the really really poor artists.... I guess people would rather download music illegally than do it legally and for whatever you'd be willing to pay (nothing if you have only $0.39 on ur bank account, like me...) when given the chance...

Free BurmaJust so you know....
